These suspects are reported to be armed and some victims have been physically assaulted.” According to MPD, carjackings are so common that it’s no longer safe to exit a vehicle if it’s involved in a fender bender. MPD described “bumping into...

innesota hospital leaders are warning in a full-page newspaper ad that they are “overwhelmed” amid a COVID-19 surge and are urging the public to take action. “Our emergency departments are overfilled, and we have patients in every bed in our hospitals,” write the leaders of nine hospital systems in the state, including the Mayo Clinic and North Memorial Health. The hospitals warn that because their capacity is strained, care for non-coronavirus medical events, like heart attacks, is also threatened.

It would be an understatement to observe how the ruling class response to Covid has wreaked havoc on life and liberty. These God-given rights were supposed to be preserved by the government and its handlers; indeed, this basic function is one of the limited powers we the people initially granted to our overseers. Instead, the ever-more-powerful state has seen to it that both life and liberty are subjugated to the political fancies of elitists that possess neither the moral guidance nor the intellectual acumen to carry out their mission. Among the many frustrating aspects of government overreach since March 2020...

A driver for the grocery delivery service Instacart allegedly smashed an elderly couple’s groceries and left a nasty note on their receipt because of their yard sign supporting the local police department. The incident reportedly took place in Blaine, Minnesota. According to a Facebook post written by a relative, the elderly couple ordered a “carefully budgeted” $50 of groceries to be delivered to their home last Sunday. “This past year has been a rollercoaster of heartache and big life changes for them. Money is tight. Vulnerability is high,” wrote Amber Gray. Nothing was amiss until they went outside to meet...

The commission believes criminals should not be given stronger sentences if they commit more crimes while on probation or parole, or even if they’ve escaped custody. That will mean lower sentences for criminals who commit murder, rape, assault, robbery and felony DWI! Worse yet, sex offenders currently receive double points for their custody status, so eliminating this part of the grid will disproportionally benefit the worst criminals in our system.

The owner of a wine and beer bar who openly flouted Gov. Tim Walz's executive orders to shut down last winter during the COVID-19 pandemic was found guilty of six criminal misdemeanor counts Thursday by a Freeborn County jury. A jury of three women and three men took only an hour of deliberation to convict Lisa Hanson, the 57-year-old bar owner, after a three-day trial punctuated by Hanson's repeated attempts to argue that Walz's orders were unconstitutional. Judge Joseph Bueltel followed the reading of the verdict with a scathing denunciation of Hanson's behavior, explaining why the governor's orders were legal....

Criminals have been emboldened like never before in Biden’s felons-first America. In major Democrat cities like Chicago, Baltimore, and San Francisco, where crime goes largely unpunished, people aren’t even able to count on the safety of their own home anymore.

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston, Minn., can house 200 inmates, but this week, a 60-bed housing unit will close, cutting the jail capacity to 140. Tri-County Community Corrections is operated by Polk, Norman and Red Lake counties. The jail needs about 38 full-time officers to meet state staffing requirements, but Executive Director Andrew Larson says the rate of staff turnover has become unsustainable. "This year, for example, we've had 40 resignations through Nov. 30, 2021. Last year we had 20," said Larson. Staff departures have been climbing since 2016, but the issue reached a critical point this year....

Lauren Boebert (R-CO) calling Omar the “jihad squad.” Anchor Jake Tapper said, “I want to start with those comments, Boebert comparing you to a terrorist suicide bomber. What is it like to hear that kind of blatant bigotry coming from a fellow member of the House of Representatives?”
