Hi Everyone, I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me to help with how to vote on the NJ ballot questions. The NJ Republican website is worthless. #1 regarding marijuana legalization is a no-brainer. It's a no. #2 regarding providing a property tax reduction for peacetime veterans is a little more difficult. I am always in favor of lowering taxes, and I also believe, as did Churchill when he quoted Milton, that "they also serve who only stand and wait". So I'm leaning towards yes on this. I think that enacting property tax relief for the elderly is...

Rumours have been circulating for years that the American military killed a creature which was “three times” the size of a normal man. The beast was supposedly shot dead after taking “multiple hits” in the Kandahar region when troops were looking for a missing patrol. This outlandish claim, which has been denied by the US administration, has recently resurfaced on social media. It was first featured in a YouTube documentary produced by filmmaker and blogger L.A. Marzulli that was released two years ago. Two self-proclaimed ex-special ops soldiers recalled the encounter with a a supposed mythical monster. They alleged that...

For those readers who may be unfamiliar with the term “Color Revolution”, it refers to what has now become the standard technique for promoting “regime change” in targeted nations. The term may have its origins in the works of Gene Sharp, who wrote some guidebooks on how to organize popular revolts using Madison Avenue-style marketing techniques. He recommended to the sponsors that rather than confusing or boring the participants with too much political theory, they should motivate their budding revolutionaries with pop culture, using catchy, content-free slogans, logos, and team colors. Color Revolutions are expensive ($5 billion in the case...

Army-funded research developed a new microwave radiation sensor with 100,000 times higher sensitivity than currently available commercial sensors. Researchers said better detection of microwave radiation will enable improved thermal imaging, electronic warfare, radio communications and radar. Researchers published their study in the peer-reviewed journal Nature. The team includes scientists from Harvard University, The Institute of Photonic Sciences, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Pohang University of Science and Technology, and Raytheon BBN Technologies. The Army, in part, funded the work to fabricate this bolometer by exploiting the giant thermal response of graphene to microwave radiation. “The microwave bolometer developed under this project...

The U.K. has developed a new fighting drone designed to help soldiers breach urban defenses. The i9 uncrewed aerial vehicle can navigate indoors, locate and identify targets, and then open fire with not one but two shotgun barrels. Like all weaponized drones, a human operator must make the decision to shoot or not shoot. The drone, revealed by the Times of London, was developed for the British armed forces. The drone is meant to act as a breaching weapon, flying into a small room or house occupied by enemy troops and neutralizing them from within. Breaching operations are among the...

U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres warned Friday that the world is living “in the shadow of nuclear catastrophe,” fueled by growing distrust and tensions between the nuclear powers. […] As examples, Guterres has expressed deep concern at the escalating disputes between the Trump administration and China. Relations between the U.S. and Russia are at a low point. Nuclear-armed India and Pakistan are feuding over Kashmir, and India just had a border skirmish with China. And North Korea boasts about its nuclear weapons. […] Guterres also pointed to the only treaty constraining the size of the world’s largest nuclear arsenals — the...

At the presidential debate this week, the Republican candidate voiced his concern about political violence—left-wing political violence. And the Democratic candidate likewise voiced concern about political violence—right-wing political violence. They were both right. Like a growing number of prominent American leaders and scholars, we are increasingly anxious that this country is headed toward the worst post-election crisis in a century and a half. Our biggest concern is that a disputed presidential election—especially if there are close contests in a few swing states, or if one candidate denounces the legitimacy of the process—could generate violence and bloodshed. Unfortunately, we’re not being...

The Trump administration has asked the military how quickly it would be able to pull nuclear weapons out of storage and load them onto bombers and submarines should an arms control treaty with Russian be allowed to expire, a report suggests. Made to the US strategic Command in Nebraska, the request is said to be part of a strategy to pressure Moscow into renegotiating the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) before the US presidential election, three sources told Politico. The Trump administration reportedly believes that making the request outlines how serious they are about letting the agreement lapse should...

Fighting raged again between Armenia and Azerbaijan last night as the two ex-Soviet nations battle over a disputed region in a conflict which could erupt into a proxy war between Russia and Turkey. Azerbaijan aired footage of two Armenian tanks being blown up on the battlefield while Armenia claimed to have taken out 80 armoured vehicles, 49 drones and four Azerbaijani helicopters as of Monday night. Armenia warned today that it would deploy more destructive weapons in the conflict because of what it described as an Azerbaijani offensive, saying the fighting had been 'elevated to a new level'.

Veterans, gamers, history buffs and gun enthusiasts are shelling out to take part in military simulations. In February, a group of several hundred military enthusiasts gathered to play-fight in Clovis, Calif., at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. They had come for an event called the Road to Kharkiv, a simulation of a fictional NATO mission into Eastern Ukraine, hosted by a company called MilSim West. Roughly half of the participants played NATO troops; the other half, Russian forces. Visually, they were almost indistinguishable from a real-life military unit.

Less than a month ago, The Atlantic relied on anonymous sources to allege that President Trump refused to visit a World War I graveyard in France, calling those who died there “suckers” and “losers.” It was such a ridiculous claim that even John Bolton, who has no love for Trump, refuted it. Nevertheless, the mainstream media ran the story hard, trying to interfere with the bond between Trump and the troops. By contrast, now that footage has emerged of Biden rudely abusing troops to their faces, the mainstream media are silent. In March 2016, while he was still vice president,...
