Fighting raged again between Armenia and Azerbaijan last night as the two ex-Soviet nations battle over a disputed region in a conflict which could erupt into a proxy war between Russia and Turkey.
Azerbaijan aired footage of two Armenian tanks being blown up on the battlefield while Armenia claimed to have taken out 80 armoured vehicles, 49 drones and four Azerbaijani helicopters as of Monday night.
Armenia warned today that it would deploy more destructive weapons in the conflict because of what it described as an Azerbaijani offensive, saying the fighting had been 'elevated to a new level'.

CNN might cover this once they figure out how to trash Trump for it.
Nagorno-Karabakh? Damn, it’s been almost 20 years since we heard about that area in the news. Thanks to Turkey, it’s heating up again. Funny how there are no Christian nations willing to send arms to Armenia.
Appears fake. Keep driving while on fire? 2 flames look photoshopped.
Oh no, I hope Azerbaijan pulls through, always wanted visit Baku and the people and geography interest me.
Shades of the Donbas, circa 2014-15.
I just assumed that was dead tankers inside. Serious stuff, I don’t think it is faked at all. Horrible to be in a tank.
It looks quite real. Armored vehicles hit with missiles while on the move typically continue driving as long as the drive train and engine aren’t damaged.
Just has a dead crew inside.
Shades of Nagorno-Karabakh circa 1991. This one could really bad.
Last night I saw an article and noted they placed Trumps name in there, speaking of a power vacuum left behind by American disengagement under the current administration or some such BS.
When was America ever engaged in that area. Why would they be? If they want to help the Armenians, send them weapons. Stay out of their way.
Just as with Yugoslavia, a strong centralized Communist government could only keep the old hatreds down for so long, once they left, they flared right back up.
Typical Neo-Cons.
Bear in mind, Turkey is still a NATO country, and has recourse of Article 5 if they should claim to be attacked by Armenia and/or Russia. Under the treaty we Become engaged.
Tuck Furkey, they didn’t help us in Iraq.
Why that would be totally without precedent!
(Why yes, that was sarcasm.)
Tanks are obsolete in modern warfare. They are death traps.....................
That’s a good place for us to stay out of.
