Johnny Manziel's time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats was short lived. The quarterback has been traded from the Tiger-Cats to the Montreal Alouettes, the teams announced Sunday. In addition to acquiring Manziel, the Alouettes also received offensive linemen Tony Washington and Landon Rice. In return, the Tiger-Cats got the Alouettes‘ first draft picks in 2020 and 2021, defensive lineman Jamaal Westerman and receiver Chris Williams. An eighth opening will occur when the Raiders get around to making Norv Turner's dismissal official, perhaps as early as today,...

TAMPA, Fla. -- The longstanding feud between former divisional rivals Tampa Bay and Green Bay ratcheted up from ugly to grotesque Sunday when Packers head coach Mike Sherman and Bucs defensive tackle Warren Sapp engaged in a heated and occasionally obscenity-laced argument a few seconds after the game ended. The object of Sherman's ire, which led him to confront Sapp on the Tampa Bay sideline after congratulating other Tampa Bay players: His displeasure with Sapp's hit on Chad Clifton during an interception return by cornerback Brian Kelly in the third quarter, and with the celebration by Sapp while the Green...

Communication theory Sherman eyes Glenn's trust By TOM SILVERSTEINof the Journal Sentinel staff Last Updated: March 21, 2002 Orlando, Fla. - There are no guarantees that troubled wide receiver Terry Glenn will find peace of mind hundreds of miles from home in a new and starkly different environment. Packers Photo/AP Wide receiver Terry Glenn, obtained in a trade with the Patriots last week, comes to the Green Bay Packers with plenty of baggage, but his former coaches in New England speak highly of his ability on the field.
