Hey everyone, I was trying to listen to Ramon Raquello and his orchestra and there was some news bulletin from the Intercontinental Radio News about a professor named Farrell of the Mount Jennings Observatory in Chicago (how can there be a "Mount" anything in Chicago?). He reported several explosions of incandescent gas, occurring at regular intervals on the planet Mars.
