The 2019 elections are in the books, and now the country can finally start paying attention to 2020. In many ways, Tuesday’s elections were a dress rehearsal for those a year from now: The parties’ performance relative to partisanship can tell us which way the political winds might be blowing, and obvious trends from 2019 — like the widening urban-rural divide — provide clues as to where the battles of 2020 will be fought.

Finally made it to suburban Baltimore from NYC. My new hobby is unpacking boxes. Occasionally, I look up and seek a source for the local news. Is there a local facsimile of the NY Post, or must I pay for the dummocrapic Baltimore Sun for an online newspaper? I hate supporting dummocraps, even one red cent. Thanks, fellow FReepers. On  8 March, 2019, joint hearings were being held on SB1000, a bill that would effectively abolish the appeals process to the Maryland Handgun Permit Review Board (HPRB). COLUMBIA, Md. — A woman was mauled to death by a dog she adopted two weeks ago, Howard County police said. County police said officers were called to a house Sept. 3 on Tamar Drive for a report that a woman had been mauled to death by what police described as a pit bull. The suspect in the deadly shooting at a Maryland newspaper building has been identified as 38-year-old Jarrod Ramos of Laurel, Maryland, law enforcement sources tell CBS News.
