I hope if you've been paying attention these past few days, you're beginning to understand my position, and why I've been so forceful, consistent, and aggressive in my advocacy of it. Many of you already understood, but certainly there are many others who still need to figure it out. In just the last couple of days, Donald Trump has promised reprisals against his critics when he's elected president, pledging to "open up" libel laws so that he can punish anyone who writes "negative" or "false" stories about him. He said his critics "will have problems" when he's in power. Remember,...

I’m assured that, on occasion, learning still happens on college campuses. I have not detected any evidence of this, but I accept it as a matter of faith. People I trust have assured me that universities are not just bastions of cultish indoctrination — there’s a lot of sex and beer pong, too. But sometimes, I’m informed, a rebellious student might endeavor to adsorb an actual fact or piece of knowledge. Again, I cannot independently confirm this shocking claim. These rogue learners aside, it’s obvious that college is often a place where students go to erase from their minds any...

Quick analysis of the debate. One word: Finally. Cruz and Rubio surrounded Trump and absolutely decimated him. They attacked his record, his integrity, his character. They interrupted him and talked over him. Rubio in particular was vicious. At a few points he laughed in Trump's face. He made Trump look ridiculous and treated him like a clown. And that's exactly what they both needed to do, and it's exactly what Trump deserves. The great mystery is why they waited 7 months to do it. Think about it: There have been approximately 87 debates, and all of the candidates have been...

Dear Donald Trump Fan, I'm going to tell you the truth, friend. You say you want the truth. You say you want someone who speaks boldly and brashly and bluntly and "tells it like it is" and so on. According to exit polls in South Carolina, voters who want a president who "tells it like it is" are an essential demographic for Trump, just as they're an essential demographic for Judge Judy and Dr. Phil. You say you want abrupt and matter-of-fact honesty, and you want it so much, you'll make a man president for it regardless of whether he...

I’ve noticed that most of my readers are not Trump fans, and I appreciate that. I love you guys for being reasonable and not falling for this glorified circus elephant. But Trump fans will come out of the woodwork because of my latest piece here, and when they do I want you to notice something: they claim they like Trump’s “blunt and unapologetic” approach, but watch how they react when that blunt and unapologetic strategy is turned against them. Watch what happens when someone is blunt and unapologetic towards them. This is the first sign that Trump’s legion of admirers...

Rapper Azealia Banks on Saturday reportedly tweeted a close-up photograph of genitals to The Blaze blogger Matt Walsh and conservative radio host Wayne DuPree after they criticized her for declaring her hatred for “fat white Americans” during a recent Playboy interview. Ms. Banks received the ire of conservatives last week when she told Playboy she hates everything about America and can’t wait to leave. “Like, I hate fat white Americans,” she said. “All the people who are crunched into the middle of America, the real fat and meat of America, are these racist conservative white people who live on their...

Matt Walsh takes on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving 1, Matt 0. Here’s the play by play. Matt says that stores like Macy’s, J.C. Penney, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Sears and Target (he calls them godless, anti-American) have ruined Thanksgiving by moving their opening times to Thursday afternoon versus the traditional Black Friday midnight madness. He further sins by mistaking J.C. Penney as J.C. Penny’s, only proving further that in the halls of retail Valhalla, Matt really belongs in Helheim. The man obviously doesn’t know his cufflinks from his garters. He reserves his special venom for Kmart (who owns Sears), which will keep its...

There is no shortage of heresies these days. If you want to adopt some blasphemous, perverted, fun house mirror reflection of Christianity, you will find a veritable buffet of options. You can sift through all the variants and build your own little pet version of the Faith. It’s Ice Cream Social Christianity: make your own sundae! (Or Sunday, as it were.) And, of all the heretical choices, probably the most common — and possibly the most damaging — is what I’ve come to call the Nice Doctrine. The propagators of the Nice Doctrine can be seen and heard from anytime...

Matt Walsh weighed in on Michael Sam, and as usual, he is spot on. He starts off by noting that “if you do anything less than fall to your knees weeping tears of jubilation that a man who is sexually attracted to men was picked to play a game for a living — you’re a homophobe.” He’s absolutely right. He then outlined why he isn’t celebrating Michael Sam, and knows that the Left will immediately call him a homophobe and bigot, when of course, that couldn’t be further from the truth: I’m not celebrating Michael Sam, I don’t think anything...

Intimidation, coercion and bullying will not win arguments or silence other points of view Haven’t you learned anything from history? ‘Advancements’ earned through tyranny never endure. You can only win a debate by suffocating your opposition for so long. Your strategy is doomed for failure, because it has always failed. In the name of ‘fighting for the freedom to love,’ you’ve utilized hate. For the sake of ‘tolerance,’ you’ve wielded bigotry. In order to push ‘diversity,’ you’ve been dogmatic. You are everything you accuse your opponents of being, and you stand for all the evil things that you claim they...

I’ve always been a pretty big fan of the Ten Commandments. My favorites is the one that says “Thou shalt not judge.â€Oh, that one isn’t in there, you say?Sorry, it’s easy to forget nowadays, especially in this country where many Christians carry on as though the entire Bible could be summed up by the phrase, “it’s all good, bro.†In actual fact, there are a lot of urgent truths and important moral lessons in the Bible. Interestingly, almost all of them have fallen out of favor in modern American society. Here are just a few verses that aren’t particularly trendy...
