....Levin said, “I am not going to defend reckless comments, where a candidate or candidates defend the poison that is the Republican establishment, especially [Sen.] Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in the United States Senate. I am not going to defend blowing out our federal budget subsidizing agribusiness and leftists with ethanol that screw up your engine and drive up the price of fuel and the price of corn. I am not going to defend an attack led by the media and the left trying to smear Antonin Scalia, who’s been on the Supreme Court for over 30 years, one of...

Mark Levin sounded pretty angry with Donald Trump tonight for some "stupid" blunders, including his trashing of Ted Cruz as a "maniac."Levin is a big fan of Cruz and loves how passionately he takes on the establishment, and so naturally he was more than a little dismayed to see Trump--who Levin said should be on the same side as Cruz on this--falling for the liberal media trap.As a reminder, yesterday on Fox News Sunday, Trump said that Cruz won't be able to get anything done as president because "you can't walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars...

Via MFP, six months after the birth of Trumpmania, this is what finally raised a red flag? Trump arguing that Cruz is a bit of a “maniac” for taking on the entire Senate when it might pose a problem for a president who’ll need friends in Congress to help him pass his agenda? Guy Benson wrote this last week about Trump’s many admirers in conservative talk radio: Here’s how the coy game has worked: When Trump is right, they praise him. Fine. When Trump is factually wrong, while making an argument that may contain a “larger truth,” they justify his...

Donald Trump is losing to Ted Cruz in Iowa, and he thinks it's yuuuge problem. A Des Moines Register poll taken over the weekend has Cruz up 10 points on Trump, “a 21 percentage-point leap that smashes records for upsurges in recent Iowa caucuses history.” Trump is hitting back though in typical Trumpian fashion. Seizing leaked comments from Cruz at a meeting of donors as an excuse to go on the attack, Trump took to twitter to vent. Looks like @tedcruz is getting ready to attack. I am leading by so much he must. I hope so, he will fall...

After a pretty ridiculous swipe at Ted Cruz’s evangelical faith on Saturday, el Trumpo continued the attack today by calling Cruz a “maniac” for his efforts as a Senator. And that doesn’t sit too well with the Great One, Mark Levin:I have a feeling we’re going to be hearing more of Levin’s opinion on this on Monday on his radio show.Trump might be ramping up the attacks because he sees polling that shows Cruz gaining on him nationally, and actually defeating him pretty badly in Iowa. For his part, Ted Cruz just made a funny joke out of the critique from...

Earlier today the Trumpinator signaled that the friendly competition is over between him and Ted Cruz, as he called him a “maniac” without the proper temperament for the Oval Office.Well Ted just responded on Twitter: In honor of my friend @realDonaldTrump and good-hearted #Maniacs everywhere: https://t.co/KOPIi4XTVt (Video)— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) December 13, 2015 LOL! That’s pretty funny.Ted Cruz is gaining on el Trumpo in national polling, and has made a huge jump in the Iowa polling to take first place. However, Trump will have a chance to knock him down in the upcoming CNN debate this week.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Sunday attacked rival Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, saying that he has acted like a “maniac” in the Senate and doesn’t have the “temperament” to be president.“Look at the way he’s dealt with the Senate. He goes in there, frankly, like a little bit of a maniac. You’re never going to get things done that way,” Mr. Trump said on “Fox News Sunday.”“I don’t think he has the right judgment,” the billionaire developer said. “You can’t walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars, and not be able to cajole and get...

Donald Trump took aim at Sen. Ted Cruz Sunday, launching one of the first of what will likely be a series of attacks against the candidate now leading him in Iowa. "I don't think he's qualified to be president," Trump said, arguing the Texas Republican's tenure in the Senate makes him too divisive for the job. Cruz has been "frankly a little bit of a maniac," Trump said in a taped interview on Fox News. "You're never gonna be able to get things done that way." "You can't walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars and not...

Ben Carson once gently questioned Donald Trump's Christian faith, but on Friday Bobby Jindal went much further. The Louisiana governor explicitly and repeatedly ridiculed Trump's faith, effectively accusing him of faking his Christianity before an evangelical conference that had heard the GOP frontrunner speak only hours earlier. Jindal, who is lagging at 0.3 percent in the national polls for the Republican presidential nominee, came onto the stage at the Values Voter Summit in Washington holding a book. Jindal joked with the audience, saying that Trump -- who on Friday morning held up what he said was his childhood Bible before...

Legendary comedian Jackie Mason has uncorked a full-blown assault on President Obama and his troubled attempt at providing health care for Americans. “It’s such a ridiculous thing. The whole country’s walking around wondering if this guy’s really the president of a country. He sounds more like a maniac in an asylum,” Mason said in a radio interview Sunday night. “He’s saying things that nobody believes. He was always lying every day of his life. Every time he talks it was a lie. The only time he tells the truth is when you didn’t hear from him.”

The madman who burned an elderly Prospect Heights woman to death had been doing odd jobs for her - but was fired after she caught him stealing, her nephew said today. “He was doing more stealing than cleaning,” said a distraught Rickey Causey, 52, about the man in custody for allegedly setting 64-year-old victim Delores Gillespie on fire Saturday. Causey said the unidentified suspect - who turned himself into cops at Brooklyn’s 32nd transit district early today reeking of gasoline - had left a note on Gillespie’s door with a list of chores he was demanding payment for.

LILBURN, Ga., Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Police in Lilburn, Ga., said an elderly woman spent three days shopping inside a local Wal-Mart. Lilburn Police Detective Matt Lake said the 70-year-old woman ate at the Blimpie sandwich shop inside the store but it wasn't known where -- or whether -- she slept during her three-day shopping spree, the Gwinnett (Ga.) Daily Post reported Monday. "She spent three straight days in Wal-Mart," Lake said. "Employees called the police department. She asked an officer for a ride home, she paid for her merchandise and the Lilburn police gave her a ride home." It...

Ellen DeGeneres is in the doghouse with a pet rescue agency after giving a pooch away to her hairdresser because it didn't get along with her cats. The talk show hostess and her partner Portia de Rossi adopted Iggy, a Brussels Griffon mix, on Sept. 20. But when things didn't work out, DeGeneres gave the dog to her hairdresser. In doing so, DeGeneres violated an agreement with the Mutts and Moms dog rescue agency by not informing them of the handoff. When the agency called DeGeneres to ask about Iggy, she said she found another home for the dog. The agency sent a representative to the hairdresser's home Sunday and took the dog away. DeGeneres went public about the situation Monday while taping an episode of her show to air Tuesday. She admitted she didn't read all the paperwork involving the adoption. DeGeneres said she spent $3,000 having the dog neutered and trained to be with her cats. But the dog had too much energy and was too rambunctious, she told her television audience. "I guess I signed a piece of paper that says if I can't keep Iggy, it goes back to the rescue organization, which is not someone's home, which is not a family," she said in a show transcript provided to The Associated Press. "I thought I did a good thing. I tried to find a loving home for the dog because I couldn't keep it." DeGeneres said her hairdresser's daughters, ages 11 and 12, had bonded with Iggy and were heartbroken when the dog was taken away. "Because I did it wrong, those people went and took that dog out of their home, and took it away from those kids," a sobbing DeGeneres said on her show. "I feel totally responsible for it and I'm so sorry. I'm begging them to give that dog back to that family," she said. "It's not their fault. It's my fault. I shouldn't have given the dog away. Just please give the dog back to those little girls." Mutts and Moms, a volunteer nonprofit organization in Pasadena, does not have a listed phone number and didn't immediately respond to an e-mail request for comment.

Al Gore is both leading the fight against climate change and coming back from political oblivion ONCE he was the nearly man of American politics, but this weekend Al Gore, Bill Clinton’s former sidekick, made it clear he was back, no longer just a politician but a phenomenon: the first global green celebrity. As the Live Earth concerts rolled out around the globe, each blessed with Gore’s presence, either live or on giant screens, it became clear that the failed presidential candidate has metamorphosed into a prophet. In an interview with The Sunday Times before yesterday’s Live Earth concert at...

Alec Baldwin issued an apology on Friday for unleashing a volcanic tirade at his 11-year-old daughter and blamed "certain people" for leaking the rant to US media. The Oscar-nominated star of "The Departed" branded daughter Ireland a "rude, thoughtless, little pig" in a fiery voicemail message that emerged on celebrity websites on Thursday. It is the latest twist to the bitter legal wrangling between Baldwin and ex-wife Kim Basinger over custody and visitation rights relating to Ireland. The couple split in 2001. Baldwin's tirade was apparently triggered by Ireland's failure to switch her mobile phone on for a scheduled call...

With his presidential hopes tied to an administration whose Iraq policy he supports but cannot control, John McCain for the first time blamed Vice President Cheney for what McCain calls the "witch's brew" of a "terribly mishandled" war in which U.S. forces are on the verge of defeat. McCain also for the first time opened the door to the possibility of a U.S. troop pullback to the borders of Iraq should the president's planned troop surge fail. Although McCain had once lavished praise on the vice president, he said in an interview in his Senate office: "The president listened too...
