A roomful of residents at City Hall Wednesday were wanting to get some questions answered and find out the latest news on Social Security. Congressman Roy Blunt tried to oblige the 40-45 people in attendance at one of the four viewpoint sessions he was holding in the area. He made one thing clear to the seniors in the audience. Senator McConnell Undergoes Successful Triple Bypass (WASHINGTON, February 3rd, 2003, 2:30 p.m.) -- U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky underwent triple bypass heart surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on Monday. A news release says Dr. Alan M. Speir, the Clinical Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center, performed the procedure early Monday morning. "Senator McConnell this morning underwent a successful triple bypass procedure," Speir said. "It was uneventful and totally satisfactorily performed.
