A photo posted to Twitter by user @NiceSheehan allegedly captured the moment former Florida governor and presidential candidate Jeb Bush locked his keys in his car and had to call for help using a phone inside a CVS: Greetings from the Biddeford CVS where Jeb Bush locked his keys in his van and is using the store phone to call lmao pic.twitter.com/o7IKOGrV9q — Steve Jobs Built The Apple iPhone (@NiceSheehan) September 24, 2021 Our content management system cuts off the top of the photo for some reason, so here’s a screenshot: Even George Conway is mocking Jeb over it:

Admits not everything has gone according to plan since he took office President Joe Biden admitted Friday that not everything has gone according to plan since he took office, but he insisted that everyone else was to blame -- especially former President Donald Trump. Biden spoke at the White House Friday and said that it was unfair to criticize him for the debacle in Afghanistan or anything else that might come to mind.

Autocratic governments, led by China, are becoming stronger, while Americans’ resolve to follow the Constitution is wavering, Sen. Mitt Romney said Friday. “No more stunning evidence of this was the attempt to prevent the lawful and constitutional transfer of power on Jan. 6th,” the Utah Republican said. “It followed from the president of the United States claiming that the election had been stolen from him,” he said. “His purported evidence spun from pillar to post, from counterfeit ballots imported from China, to stuffed ballot boxes, to dead voters, to voting machines manipulated from afar.” Romney blamed Donald Trump for the...

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) bashed Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s meeting with Hungary’s power-grabbing prime minister, Viktor Orbán, in a speech Friday marking the 234th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution at Brigham Young University. The senator didn’t called out Carlson by name in his remarks, but instead referred to him as a “prominent TV pundit” who visited Hungary to “extol” the prime minister “as a model for us to emulate.” Last month, the Fox News host broadcast his show from Budapest, where he spoke at a right-wing conference. During an interview with Orbán, Carlson praised his leadership.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is aiming to raise $18 million ahead of a possible 2024 presidential election run, a source familiar with the matter told Axios. Pence’s non-profit group, Advancing American Freedom, launched in April is comprised of former White House members and other Pence allies. It has spent $60,000 already to promote its efforts. The source said donors were asked to help the group reach its $18 million goal at a retreat in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

@Liz_Cheney Thank you, President Bush. This was a moving and important speech by a good and honorable man.

This guy is a pathetic little man.

Are the GOP and Romney headed for a breakup? It’s no secret that many hardcore Utah Republicans are no fan of Sen. Mitt Romney. Witness the less than cordial reception he got at this year’s GOP convention when he was mercilessly booed from the stage. A new poll suggests Romney may no longer fit neatly in the Trumpified version of today’s Republican Party. OH Predictive Insights finds only 42% of Utah Republicans believe there’s room for Romney in today’s GOP. 44% say Romney does not belong.

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan told WISN 12 News on Monday there should be no question that President Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election. "President Trump lost the election. Joe Biden won the election," Ryan said to WISN 12 News reporter Kent Wainscott during a rare interview. Even as Wisconsin Republican lawmakers launch a forensic audit of the 2020 election, Ryan believes it is time for his party to move past the false claim that the election was stolen from Trump. "President Trump continues to insist that the 2020 election was rigged and that he in fact won," Wainscott...

Appearing via phone with Greg Kelly on NewmaxTV Wednesday, Former President Trump said he realized he hired “a loser” in General Mark Milley. “He was recommended by people that I didn’t think much of, and he was also recommended by a couple of people that I thought were just absolutely terrible,” Trump said. “I decided, you know, Mattis, I call them the world’s most overrated general. Mattis hated him, hated him. I figured based on the fact that I thought very little of Mattis. We did a great job without Mattis. Once I got rid of Mattis, we took over...

Former Republican Sen. Bob Dole (Kan.) told USA Today in an interview that “I’m a Trumper,” before adding later that “I’m sort of Trumped out, though.” Dole, the former Senate majority leader and Republican candidate for president in 1996, was one of the few individuals from the GOP establishment to endorse Trump in 2016, and was the only former presidential nominee to go to the convention that nominated him. While he said he is still a “Trumper,” he did break from the former president on the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, telling USA Today “he lost the election.”

… “It’s time to stop comparing Trump to Hitler,” Reiner said in a tweet last Thursday. “Trump is his own unique brand of Criminal Sociopath.” “We have to keep saying this: Donald Trump led a deadly attack to overthrow the United States Government,” Reiner said in a tweet on Friday. “To preserve Democracy, he must be held accountable.” …

I’ve been searching for just the right adjective to use for Mitt Romney. In the spirit of full disclosure, I must sadly confess that I voted for Mitt for President in 2012. At the time, even a vote for a RINO was preferable to voting for someone openly calling for the destruction of everything America stands for -- that being Barack Hussein Obama. But since 2018, Mitt has been on a divergent path from conservatism. RINOs are despised by conservatives, but the term doesn’t even come close to describing the awfulness of Mitt Romney for the movement. Is Mitt Romney...

Murkowski's plight resembles that of the late Sen. Arlen Specter, the Pennsylvanian who served as a Republican for most of his 30 years in the U.S. Senate — but who flipped to the Democratic Party in 2009 when it became clear he was no longer conservative enough to win another GOP primary. "I know I'm disappointing many of my colleagues," Specter said at the time. "The disappointment runs in both directions." Murkowski probably feels the same way these days. The switch didn't work for Specter, though: He lost the Democratic primary the next year and left office — too left...

I do not expect any of my fellow “liberal/progressive” Democrats to share my concern here, but because I believe that it will be very difficult for the Democrats to retain the pesidency in 2024 and to retain control of Congress in 2022 (because of Republican state legislatures wanting to make it hard for many Democrats to vote), I want whoever the Republicans nominate for president in 2024 to be a high-quality person such as Carly Fiorina (who voted for Biden-Harris in 2020). I like it that she is widely known to be a very sensitive, empathetic and compassionate person on...

After qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics by finishing third in the US Olympic track and field trials on Saturday, hammer thrower Gwen Berry faced away from the American flag during the playing of the National Anthem. Most people would predict tears of excitement after achieving such a milestone, but Berry went in a different direction. Berry turned toward the spectators as the National Anthem played and, towards the ending, pulled up a black t-shirt with the words “Activist Athlete” on the front to cover her head.

Joe Biden said he “respects” Gwen Berry’s Childish Olympic Protest. Berry called the playing of the National Anthem a “setup” – in that I guess she believes everything is about her, the third place winner in the Olympic tryouts hammer throw competition.“I feel like it was a setup, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of when the anthem played. “I was pissed, to be honest.”“They had enough opportunities to play the national anthem before we got up there,” Berry said in Oregon, where the Olympic trials are being hosted. “I was thinking about what I should do. Eventually...
