After qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics by finishing third in the US Olympic track and field trials on Saturday, hammer thrower Gwen Berry faced away from the American flag during the playing of the National Anthem.
Most people would predict tears of excitement after achieving such a milestone, but Berry went in a different direction.
Berry turned toward the spectators as the National Anthem played and, towards the ending, pulled up a black t-shirt with the words “Activist Athlete” on the front to cover her head.

So, you're participating for your own glory rather than to represent your country. Given that, I would ban you from the team. Obviously you "don't speak for me" and never will so why should we give you a platform to disrespect us?

3rd in American trials-right? How is he/she going to win a bronze with the world competition? Let her(?) do it. Let the rest of the world see how we do things. We’re big enough. Our pushback should be legal and non-violent.
She just wants Kaepernick dollars. Money not for talent but endorsements just for being publicly annoying.
She represents te team. The team keeps her on. I’m not watching on split second of these games. My family will not watch it.

Perhaps there can be a UN team competing at the Olympics. Perhaps all the “world class athletes” who hate their own country can compete under the flag of the globalist UN. It is hypocritical for people like this woman to compete under the American flag as an American.
Who in their right mind would want a ‘hammer thrower’ to represent their product?

Someone ought to get her hip to the facts
She could increase her chances by representing an African country-or any that dislike us. It’s been done.
She finished second in 2016 trials, and 14 th in the Rio Olympics.
She’s more than free to live some where else.
That’s just fine..... I’ll turn away from the Olympics!
