We were planning a spring break gathering and I wanted my husband to put up an wooden swing under the lovely shading oak trees in our front yard. As he set up the frame he asked me if I wanted it facing north or south? I said “I know where the sun comes up and goes down”? He said it is simple; “face this direction then turn left”, “I said do you mean your left or my left?” Finally I said just point me in the right direction! Recently I watched a segment on the NEWS where Mr. Biden said...

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) and former congressman Trey Gowdy blasted MSNBC anchor Joy Reid after she suggested the former was simply a token Republican. Reid was riled up last week over Scott’s participation in a GOP press conference of senators opposing raising the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour. ... Tim Scott responded to Joy Reid’s racist smear, appearing on “Fox News Primetime” with host Trey Gowdy. “Woke supremacy is as bad as white supremacy. We need to take that seriously,” Scott said. Scott further eviscerated Reid on social media tweeting, “Unfortunately, I have become accustomed to hearing casual...

A task force empowered by Nancy Pelosi to review security following the Capitol riot on January 6th has recommended the formation of a “quick reaction force” of federal officers to provide security at that location. The House Speaker announced in January that retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré would lead a team of experts in a security review of the Capitol following the riot. “We suffered a devastating attack on the Capitol that threatened the lives of and traumatized Members of Congress, staff and support workers,” she announced at the time. Fox News reports that Honoré’s task force made...

National Republican Congressional Committee Chair (NRCC) Tom Emmer warned former President Trump against backing primary challenges to Republican lawmakers who voted to impeach him. Emmer made the comments in an interview with Politico. “He can do whatever he wants,” said the Minnesota Republican. “But I would tell him that it’s probably better for us that we keep these people and we make sure that we have a majority that can be sustained going forward.” On Trump weighing into the primaries, Emmer said, “That’s not gonna be helpful.”

Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan blasted DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for statements claiming the department is working to “replace the cruelty” of the Trump administration at the border with “an orderly humane and safe immigration process.” ... Homan fired back in an interview with Fox News, “Don’t tell me this is compassion!” “Putting your children in the hands of criminal cartels is inhumane, is dangerous, and it’s just bad,” he continued. “So, I’ve seen it and I just, I can’t believe that statement was even made.”

Fifty Michigan National Guard troops have complained of “gastrointestinal” issues after being served undercooked meals and food contaminated with metal shavings, Fox News reports. The tainted food complaints began in mid-February, were initially resolved, and resurfaced this past weekend. In a letter to the National Guard, the entire Michigan delegation in the House reported that “contracted meals” were being used “to support the entire federal response stationed at the Capitol.” “However, it is clear that these contracted meals are poorly prepared, oftentimes inedible, and highly inadequate to support our soldiers,” the letter states, urging them to switch contractors.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas: “… for so long, and we have already begun to implement. We are progressing every single day. I don’t have a particular timeline, but all I can do is communicate, both to the American public, and to the individuals seeking protection, that we are working around the clock seven days a week to make that time frame as short as possible, but they need to wait. But they need to wait with a particular goal in mind. We are not saying, don’t come, we are saying, don’t come now, because we will be able to...

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis tore into the anti-Trump wing of the GOP, deriding them as the “failed Republican establishment” during a speech. His comments are further evidence that the possible 2024 contender for the Republican presidential nominee is firmly aligning himself with the former President in the party’s ongoing civil war. “We cannot, we will not, go back to the days of the failed Republican establishment of yesteryear,” DeSantis said. “We reject open borders and instead support American sovereignty and the American worker,” he continued in a speech practically ripped from the Trump playbook. “Building a movement on amnesty and...

Former President Barack Obama believes reparations are “justified” and suggests one of the reasons he couldn’t get it through during his tenure was due to “white resentment.” Obama made the racially divisive remarks during a podcast with musician Bruce Springsteen. ... “There’s not much question that the wealth of this country, the power of this country was built in significant part, not exclusively, maybe not even the majority of it, but a large portion of it was built on the backs of slaves,” he added.

A county in Missouri passed a bill that authorizes the arrest of any federal agents who try to infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of its citizens. ... Section 4 of the bill is particularly interesting, as it states: “Any and all federal agents trying to enforce the regulations listed in Section 1 shall be subject to arrest by the Newton County Missouri Sheriff’s Department;” “(a) The Newton County Missouri Sheriff’s Department shall be given the full authority to make an arrest of any and all federal agents that violate state laws and enforce the regulations listed in Section (1).”...

Forbes is reporting that the House version of a $1.9 trillion COVID relief package contains “an extra perk for federal workers” that involves paid time off to stay at home with children not taking part in in-classroom instruction. The “perk” tucked inside a bill dubbed the “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021,” is defined by critics as “a personal bailout for bureaucrats.” While most of us wait for a one-time $1,400 stimulus payment as we struggle with employment and tending to kids which we now teach from home, federal workers dealing with the same conditions will be privy to a...

Ted Lieu (CA), wrote a letter warning that “vesting one person” with the authority to initiate a nuclear war “entails real risks.” “While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so,” the letter explains. ... Politico notes that the Democrats are attempting to curb the president’s power in...

The former editor of City & State, a New York politics magazine, charges that while DeRosa was the one making the call,...

Joe Biden is not well. That marks one of several dozen times I’ve opened an article in that fashion or similar, yet those words have become no less relevant with time. The former VP is only getting worse and that was on full display again yesterday. Biden made an embarrassing blunder during his first foreign meeting with Canada’s Justin Trudeau. Biden tried to send a warning to China on behalf of the Canadians, promising Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau he would help get two imprisoned Canadians back from the Chinese. Canadians Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor were detained by the...
