When heading the FEC’s enforcement office in the late 90’s, the beleaguered IRS official was accused of failing to investigate a Democratic fundraiser. “When it recommended not pursuing the allegations against Mr. Glicken, the FEC staff specifically cited his close ties to the Vice-President, Vice-President Gore,” Dan Burton (R-IN) said at the hearing. The IRS scandal currently engulfing Washington isn’t the only episode in which Lois Lerner, the embattled head of the agency’s tax-exempt organizations office, has come under fire for playing partisan politics in a nonpartisan entity. In 1998, while heading the Federal Election Commission’s enforcement office, she was...

In discussing matters of society, politics, climate, war, education, and such like – the substance of the conversation is fundamentally determined by the participants’ cognizance of Empire. Without knowledge of Empire, the veracity of any discourse is severely restricted. As an exercise in grasping the gulf between Imperially conditioned responses and free-thinking observations, I drew up a representative list of subjects to illustrate the extraordinary polarization. These are from real conversations, experienced by myself and/or respected colleagues. Imperially Conditioned Responses – Unapprised Of Empire Free Thinking Observations – Fully Apprised Of Empire Government Freely-elected agents serve the people. Keeps civil order....

A 19-year-old baggage handler, who was armed ‘like Rambo,’ opened fire on his co-workers at a FedEx facility in Kennesaw early this morning, injuring six people, before killing himself. The gunman has been identified as Geddy Kramer. Cobb County police say the man walked into the FedEx warehouse on Airport Road and opened fire. Six men and women between the ages of 19 and 52 were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where one of them remains in critical condition. Billy J. Kramer (born William Howard Ashton 1943) in Liverpool, England came to fame as yet another Merseybeat act that went on to join the 'British Invasion' of the US market in the early 1960s. Like the Beatles, he was managed by Brian Epstein, and in fact Kramer went on to record a number of Lennon/McCartney compositions over time. I myself am a big fan of the band, as I've become interested in Merseybeat bands in general over the last few years. But somehow this particular song catches my imagination, even though I only first heard it a couple years...

Contra Costa Tax Assessor Gus Kramer used an arcane real estate transaction known as a gift deed to acquire millions of dollars worth of property in the county during the past decade despite an ethics law limiting gifts to a few hundred dollars a year that a public official can accept from any one person. Public records show Kramer obtained full or partial title to seven properties from 2000 to 2010 for which no money changed hands and no real estate transfer taxes were paid. Kramer didn't list three of those properties on his annual ethics disclosure statements, as required...

New York City violated a teacher's constitutional right to due process when it removed her from the classroom for eliciting vulgar words from students during a lesson about HIV and AIDS, a federal judge ruled yesterday. After being put on administrative duty for eight months for allegedly causing the group of eighth graders "mental distress" and violating a regulation prohibiting "verbal abuse," Faith Kramer turned around and accused the Board of Education of violating her First Amendment and due process rights. While Eastern District Judge Jack B. Weinstein held that Ms. Kramer's speech was not constitutionally protected, he agreed that...

Many of the fake documents used by a leading Democratic Party fund-raiser to defraud HSBC and Citigroup Inc were made by his brother-in-law, U.S. prosecutors said on Friday. Authorities arrested and charged Shahin Kashanchi, brother-in-law of indicted fund-raiser Hassan Nemazee, who donated to the presidential campaigns of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other leading Democrats over the years. Nemazee pleaded not guilty on Wednesday in Manhattan federal court to defrauding a total of three banks -- Bank of America was the other -- out of $292 million in loan proceeds. "Based on e-mail traffic between Kashanchi and Nemazee, Kashanchi was...

Olympian Sven Kramer was none too happy with a local NBC reporter asking him to identify himself in their interview. On the heels of Netherlands speedskater Sven Kramer taking the gold medal in the men's 5000m, a local NBC reporter says to Kramer, "I need you to say your name, your country and what you just won here." Kramer's response? "Are you stupid? Hell no, I'm not gonna do that." On the one hand, the NBC reporter can be heard in the background saying, "For tape identification" but on the other hand... the dude just won a gold medal and,...

This is a nice clip, where Jim Kramer from CNBC seems to forget he's a GE employee and criticizes Obama's Trillion-Dollar Turd. Wonder how long he had to spend in Obama fascist fanboi GE Chairman Jeffrey Immelt's sweatbox for this one?

NEW YORK (AP) -- The horses that pull tourists on leisurely carriage rides through Central Park are working without enough water, shade or oversight from authorities, a city report says. Central Park carriage horses work in sometimes shoddy conditions, according to an audit issued Wednesday. City agencies haven't kept up with required veterinary checks and carriage inspections, and the horses work in sometimes shoddy conditions, according to the audit issued Wednesday by City Comptroller William Thompson. "The agencies entrusted with oversight here have dropped the ball," Thompson said. The report marked the first time the comptroller's office scrutinized the city's...

"I'm not a racist. That's what's so insane about this," said Michael Richards on The Late Show With David Letterman, a scant three days after his meltdown during a performance at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles. A few days later, in a desperate, public relations-fueled effort to rehabilitate his sagging career, he was interviewed on Jesse Jackson's weekly syndicated radio show "Keep Hope Alive" and told the listening public that he was "shattered" by his outburst. Michael is not a racist, his manager would have us believe -- he simply has an anger management problem. His defenders say he's...

Festivus just isn't the same this year for self-professed "Seinfeld" fanatic Gov. Jim Doyle. In fact, Doyle said he won't be recognizing the made-up holiday after Michael Richards, aka Kramer, unleashed a string of racial slurs at black patrons during a recent comedy club appearance. "Probably like a lot of people, I'm still sorting out my feelings about it all," Doyle said Friday. "It's pretty hard for me to watch the show right now."That says a lot coming from a governor whose aides are known to watch "Seinfeld" reruns in their spare time so they can keep up with Doyle's...

Here's my holiday wish list: Dear Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, Please accept my apology for launching into a racist tirade against two black hecklers at my comedy show. Because I attacked two blacks in particular, I know this means I harbor deep-seated racist feelings about all blacks. While, in return, I heard words like "f---ing white boy" and "cracker-ass motherf---er," I know those epithets were directed toward me, as an individual, and not at the entire white race. Again, please accept my deepest apologies. Michael Richards, aka "Kramer" of "Seinfeld"
