He was the second man to beat Muhammad Ali, breaking Ali's jaw and sending him to the hospital in their 1973 heavyweight fight. Ken Norton frustrated Ali three times in all, including their final bout at Yankee Stadium where he was sure he had beaten him once again. Norton, who died Wednesday at the age of 70, lost that fight for the heavyweight title. But he was forever linked to Ali for the 39 rounds they fought over three fights, with very little separating one man from the other in the ring.

LAS VEGAS -- Former heavyweight champion Ken Norton, who beat Muhammad Ali and later lost a controversial decision to him in Yankee Stadium, died Wednesday at a local care facility, his son said. He was 70. Ken Norton Jr., a coach with the Seattle Seahawks, confirmed the death to The Associated Press before handing the phone to his wife, too distraught to talk. Norton had been in poor health for the last several years after suffering a series of strokes, a friend of the fighter said.

I don't have a link at this time, but I just read on AOL that Kenny Norton had gone to his reward. Never liked his style of boxing, but HE made Ali THE Greatest. In their first fight, he broke Ali's jaw in the early rounds. Still, Ali went the distance and lost in a decision. In their 2nd fight in Yankee Stadium, Ali won in a split decision. If it wasn't for Ali, Norton would be an obscure "also-ran" In any case, Norton was one of the TOP Heavy-Weights of the era. RIP

Suddenly the Obamassiah doesn't look so impressive. In fact, on the heels of his big loss in the Pennsylvania primary and the Rev. Wright episode, Obama is beginning to look like a shmoe. As a result, the DUmmies have started panicking bigtime as you can see in this THREAD titled, "Obama Supporters: Let's Stop Pretending." Yeah, like let's stop pretending that our beloved Obama is some sort of Messiah who will save us all. Also let's stop pretending that Obama will have smooth sailing to the nomination because he is currently a bit ahead in the delegate vote. Obama...

Okay, here is the moment you've been waiting for. Our own pundit, Ken Norton, has given me specific numbers as to what the results will be in the Democrat primaries on May 6 in North Carolina and Indiana. However, in order to correctly interpret Ken's predictions, I urge you first to read THE KEN NORTON EFFECT. Okay, you've finished reading it? Good. Well, from Ken's POV things look really good for Barack Obama. Ken predicts that Obama will win the North Carolina primary by a huge margin of 15 points over Hillary Clinton. Things look really great for Obama...
