Protesters hounded Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh on Thursday night outside an event in Washington, greeting him with shouts of “Impeach Kavanaugh” and a large screen replaying accuser Christine Blasey Ford’s congressional testimony. The demonstration outside the annual Federalist Society gala, where Kavanaugh was a featured speaker, continued a string of public harassment against conservatives in recent years. The screen playing Ford’s testimony -- in which she accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault when they were teenagers -- was on a truck rolled up to the event by liberal activist group Demand Justice, The Washington Post reported.

Protestors wheeled a big screen and speakers in front of Union Station Thursday night before Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's expected appearance at the Federalist Society's black tie event. Playing on the screen was the testimony of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford from Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings last year. In her testimony, Ford alleged that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her while the two were at Yale. Ford's allegation wasn't the only sexual assault claim against Kavanaugh, but he vehemently denied the allegation in front of congressional committees and was eventually confirmed to the highest court in the country. WASHINGTON — A bare majority of the U.S. Supreme Court appeared likely Tuesday to let the Trump administration follow through on its plan to shut down DACA, the federal program that has allowed nearly 800,000 young people, known as dreamers, to avoid deportation and remain in the U.S. With hundreds of DACA supporters rallying outside — so many that police shut down the street in front of the Supreme Court — the justices heard nearly an hour and a half of oral arguments. Based on their questions, it appeared that the court's five conservatives were inclined to rule that the...
  • Rush Limbaugh: Democrats will use Kavanaugh 'model' for this week's public impeachment hearings

As House Democrats plan to hold public hearings in their Trump impeachment inquiry this week, conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh is warning supporters of the president to expect something similar to what took place last year during then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings. "I really think that the model for what’s gonna happen this week is the Kavanaugh hearings. I mean, if you recall, here comes Christine Blasey Ford, she has her charge, and what were we told? She didn’t want to come forward," Limbaugh said on his radio show. "Then, it didn’t have the impact they...
  • Jeffrey Epstein and Brett Kavanaugh, for ABC News, a tale of double standards

Before we get into the release by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas of that video starring “Good Morning America” co-host Amy Robach and her story that ABC spiked her report about the late serial sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, let’s do something else first. Let’s remember what ABC, NBC and other media did to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing just a year ago, destroying his reputation, smearing him without evidence because he wasn’t on their political team.

A second aide to Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., has been sentenced in a scheme to break into Hassan's office to obtain and publicly post the personal information of several Republican politicians amid contentious confirmation hearings for Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The 24-year-old former aide, Samantha Deforest Davis, was sentenced to two years of supervised probation with 200 hours of community service, with a suspended sentence of 180 days in prison. She was ordered to "stay away from [Hassan's] office to include current and former staff, and to not use Tor or anonymized computer applications," the Justice Department said in a statement....

(snips) -- In response to Alaska Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski voting *not* to advance the supreme court nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Sarah Palin sends the following tweet: Hey @Lisa Murkowski – I can see 2022 from my house. ___________ Do it, Sarah. Long term CTH readers will well remember how Tea Party candidate Joe Miller was backed by Sarah Palin when he stunningly defeated Lisa Murkowski during the republican primary in 2010. However, Murkowski would not accept the primary defeat and the entitlement-minded incumbent ran as a write-in candidate, and enlisted the assistance of democrats in Alaska to retain...

Full title: Senators Follow Up With DOJ: What Happened to Our Criminal Referrals for People Who Lied About Kavanaugh? Last year then Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley referred a number of individuals to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution after they lied to congressional investigators about Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Two of those individuals were Julie Swetnick and disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti. "While the Committee was in the middle of its extensive investigation of the late-breaking sexual-assault allegations made by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Avenatti publicized his client’s allegations of...

All of the usual anti-Kavanaugh protesters showed up in D.C. this past Sunday to mark the one-year anniversary of Justice Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court. Women's March promoters partnered with NARAL, the Center for American Progress, and Demand Justice to train demonstrators in the art of screaming, "Impeach the m-----------" and chanting, "Tell me what democracy looks like! This is what democracy looks like!" To show what their version of democracy looks like, this scuzzy bunch of mostly female agitators took to the streets around the Supreme Court building. They blocked traffic and created a mess before marching...

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), a 2020 presidential contender, on Monday issued a judicial ethics plan that would close a loophole and allow misconduct investigations of federal judges to continue even if they are elevated to the Supreme Court or resign from the bench. “It’s time to ensure that judges do not hear cases where they have conflicts of interests, strengthen our nation’s ethics rules for judges, and ensure accountability for judges who violate these rules,” Warren wrote in the proposal. Closing the loophole would have ramifications for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who has faced sexual assault allegations, which he...

The effort to sink Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation cries out for investigation. The Senate Judiciary Committee has already made a criminal referral to the Justice Department regarding alleged material misstatements by lawyer Michael Avenatti and his client Julie Swetnick. And a new book by two New York Times reporters contains a potentially explosive revelation. In “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh,” Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly report that Leland Keyser —who was unable to corroborate high-school friend Christine Blasey Ford’s allegation of youthful sexual misconduct—says she felt pressured by a group of common acquaintances to vouch for it anyway. The book...

I’m not a very demonstrative person. Still, I laughed right out loud when I read the excuse House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) had for not pursuing the impeachment against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. I scared my dog, Molly, even. “We have our hands full with impeaching the president right now and that’s going to take up our limited resources and time for a while,” Nadler told NBC News. We can’t tilt at that windmill, Nadler is telling his fellow Democrats, because we’re already tilting at this one over here. Republicans ought to welcome impeachment for Kavanaugh, scurrilous...

The latest smear on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is a disaster for Democrats, and everyone seems to know it except the party’s presidential candidates. No sooner had the New York Times published a new, unsubstantiated allegation of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh, then most of the candidates demanded Kavanaugh’s impeachment. “These newest revelations are disturbing,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) wrote on Twitter, adding “Like the man who appointed him, Kavanaugh should be impeached.” Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) declared Kavanaugh’s “place on the Court is an insult to the pursuit of truth and justice. He must be impeached.” Sen....

Authors of a controversial new book about Brett Kavanaugh said Democratic presidential candidates calling for his impeachment were engaged in a “rush to judgment” without having actually read their “nuanced” account of the sexual misconduct allegations leveled against him. “It’s dismaying to see the rush to judgment,” said Kate Kelly, a New York Times reporter and co-author “We definitely have been grappling with it,” said co-author and fellow Times reporter Robin Pogrebin about the firestorm the initial accounts of their book triggered. “There was a sense going into this that nuance doesn’t make headlines, ... that people were going to...

If I can produce someone who saw John Roberts’ penis in college, can we get the Obamacare opinion overturned? As all MSNBC viewers are well aware, last Sunday’s edition of The New York Times ran an excerpt of the book “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation,” by Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly, which revives Debbie Ramirez's accusations against the Supreme Court nominee. Quick reminder: This is NOT the Kavanaugh accuser with two front doors. It is NOT the Kavanaugh accuser whose own father warned that she had psychological problems. This is the one who didn’t remember what Kavanaugh did...

Remember how Christine Blasey Ford couldn't fly, until it turned out that she could fly? Just to spare her the indignities of commercial air travel, she was flown on a private plane courtesy of two very unpleasant and wealthy Silicon Valley characters. Among those who assisted Ford in the summer of 2018 were Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, game company Zynga founder Mark Pincus, and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, according to The Education of Brett Kavanaugh, written by New York Times reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly and on shelves Tuesday. Pincus and Hoffman, meanwhile, lent Ford and her friends their...

Perhaps Nancy Pelosi should consider opening up an Impeachment Denial Office on Capitol Hill, as her caucus seems determined to threaten it for pretty much anything. Several Democratic presidential candidates demanded the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh over a badly reported smear job at the New York Times, and a few of Pelosi’s colleagues jumped on that bandwagon. By yesterday afternoon, however, the backfire was evident enough for Pelosi to put her foot down: House Democratic leaders and rank-and-file members are dismissing calls to impeach Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, with some arguing the House has limited...

The following article is sponsored by Capital Research Center. An organization that leads the protest movement against President Trump’s judicial nominees and presents itself as grassroots is really the project of Arabella Advisors, a largely unknown, massively funded strategy company pushing the interests of wealthy leftist donors. These and other revelations were documented in an extensive exposé by conservative watchdog Capital Research Center, which traced Arabella’s vast network and unmasked a shadowy system of pop-up groups designed to look like grassroots activist organizations developed by, housed in, and staffed by the for-profit, privately held Arabella Advisors. As previously reported here,...

Leland Keyser, who Christine Blasey Ford said was a witness to when Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in the 1980s, now doubts that it ever happened. During Kavanaugh’s bloody confirmation in which Ford accused him of sexual assault, Keyser said through her lawyer that while she didn’t refute Dr. Ford’s account, she was also “unable to corroborate it because she has no recollection of the incident in question.”But now Keyser said she challenges Ford’s accusation entirely, according to the new book The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation, a book of which, ironically enough, was apparently intended to keep the accusations against Kavanaugh...
