A new poll has found that 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump holds a nearly 35-point lead over his next closest competitors in the state of South Carolina.The poll, conducted by the Trafalgar Group, found that 47.9 percent of likely GOP primary voters would vote for Trump if the election was held that day.Trump’s next-closest competitor, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, is sitting at 13.8 percent support in the state, only slightly edging out Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), who sits at 13.6 percent.
