In an opening statement on her show "Justice with Judge Jeanine," Pirro said the announcement Friday by FBI Director James Comey that the bureau will review newly found emails in connection with Clinton's private email server "disgraces and politicizes the FBI and is symptomatic of all that is wrong in Washington."

HARRISBURG, Pa. —A judge has ordered the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to pay a former worker more than $3 million after finding he was wrongly fired in retaliation for blowing the whistle on agency practices. Ralph Bailets sued the turnpike commission and two of its officials over his 2008 termination. He says he was dismissed for questioning a major computer contract, hiring practices and how large trucking firms qualify for E-ZPass discounts. Prosecutors in 2013 used his testimony to file corruption charges against several agency officials. The judge ruled in June that Bailets was wrongly terminated. PennLive.com reports the judge ruled...

La Crosse’s police chief argues a La Crosse County judge jeopardized courtroom safety when she disarmed officers called to testify in a police battery case. La Crosse County Circuit Judge Ramona Gonzalez at the start on Mark Topness’ trial on Tuesday for 10 crimes told three uniformed La Crosse police officers that they could not wear their firearms or duty belts in the courtroom. “It was the first time I’ve ever been asked to disarm,” officer Ethan Purkapile said. “I was definitely concerned because it compromised my ability to protect the DA’s office staff, the jurors, the circuit court staff,...

(CNN)A federal court has extended Florida's voter registration deadline from Tuesday to 5 p.m. ET Wednesday due to Hurricane Matthew's interruption of last-minute sign-ups.The US District Court ruling comes after the Florida Democratic Party sued, seeking an additional week due to the "strong likelihood" many of the state's voters would be "severely burdened" by the hurricane's fallout in the upcoming election. Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott had opposed the extension, saying last week that "people have had time to register." In court papers, Marc Elias, who serves at the general counsel for Hillary Clinton's campaign, argued that Scott "unambiguously...

A federal judge rejected a school district's challenge to President Barack Obama's rule on transgender bathrooms on Monday, ordering a biologically male student who identifies as female be treated "like the girl she is." Judge Algenon Marbley said the Highland Local Schools in Morrow County had failed to provide a persuasive argument that giving the student access to the girls' restroom would jeopardize other students' privacy or safety. He further ordered that Highland use a female name and pronouns in referring to the 11-year-old.

Government minister Abdel Bin Loo Ni has nominated Christian lawyer Rashad Oh Mih Goud to serve on the Saudi judiciary in a special late night session. Understandbly, some Saudis are upset, but many applaud Bin Loo Ni's courage in showing the need for a balance to Sharia law in the nation. Minister Abdel Bin Loo Ni told news reporters as he ducked shoes being thrown that it was time for the Saudis to step up to the plate and show respect for Christianity in light of Obama's nomination of Abid Riaz Qureshi for the Federal Judiciary in the United States....

Muslim-American groups are applauding President Barack Obama's nomination of a Washington lawyer to serve in U.S. District Court — a move that could make him the first ever Muslim-American federal judge, according to advocates. If confirmed, Abid Riaz Qureshi would sit on the District of Columbia's federal bench, the White House announced Tuesday. Qureshi, who graduated Harvard Law School in 1997, is a partner in the D.C. office of Latham & Watkins LLP, specializing in healthcare fraud, securities violations, and cases involving the False Claims Act, according to a White House statement. "I am confident he will serve the American...

RALEIGH, N.C. — A federal judge ruled Friday that two students and an employee must be allowed to use restrooms matching their gender identity at University of North Carolina campuses, and he said they have a strong chance of proving the state's bathroom-access measure violates federal law. U.S. District Judge Thomas Schroeder temporarily blocked the University of North Carolina from making the three plaintiffs follow the restroom provision of the so-called HB2 law as the larger case makes its way to trial in November. His final decision on the law won't come until after trial. Passed in March, HB2 requires...

Jodie Foster remains unimpressed I’m trying to think if any presidential assassin - would-be or successful - has ever been released from prison before now. Obviously not Booth or Oswald. Leon Czolgosz was executed. Of course, all of the above did succeed in their diabolical quests. John Hinckley is the only man who ever shot a president and failed to kill him. Hombres don’t come any tougher than Ronald Reagan. And Hinckley is now the only man to shoot a president and eventually walk out of prison, thanks to a Clinton-appointed federal judge who sees no further reason to keep...

A federal judge ruled Thursday that a Michigan law banning straight-ticket voting would place a disproportionate burden on African Americans' right to vote, and granted a request for a preliminary injunction to block enforcement of the law. Mark Brewer, a lawyer in the case and former head of the Michigan Democratic Party, argued that the elimination of straight-party voting would likely have a larger impact on African-American voters, noting "extremely high" correlations between the size of the African-American voting population within a district, and the use of straight-party voting in that district. New straight-ticket voting law in Michigan prompts lawsuit...

A judge has given Hillary Clinton until Tuesday to reveal why she shouldn’t be forced to testify in a federal case about Clinton aide Huma Abedin’s double-dipping employment at the State Department. As WND reported Friday, Washington watchdog Judicial Watch asked a federal judge for permission to put Clinton under oath and ask her questions about her emails – even though the FBI investigated and said that while Clinton was “extremely careless†in her handling of secret information, she should not be charged formally for her actions. The motion for permission to depose Clinton and two others was submitted to...

"Folks, Put The Pieces Together" - Judge Jeanine Rages Over Comey/Clinton Debacle by Tyler Durden Jul 6, 2016 2:40 PM 0 SHARES Never one to mince words, Judge Jeanine Pirro goes on an epic rant regarding the FBI's decision not to recommend charges against Hillary Clinton.Judge Pirro says that given all of her experience, the case against Hillary Clinton should have been presented to a grand jury. Not only that, but Pirro cuts right to the point by saying that the entire decision reeks of favoritism. "You all know I think highly of Jim Comey, I worked with him when...

Judge Richard A. Posner, who was appointed by President Ronald Reagan in 1981 and serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago, has published an op-ed at Slate declaring that the U.S. Constitution is a waste of time. Posner writes: And on another note about academia and practical law, I see absolutely no value to a judge of spending decades, years, months, weeks, day, hours, minutes, or seconds studying the Constitution, the history of its enactment, its amendments, and its implementation (across the centuries—well, just a little more than two centuries, and of course...
