Jim Herman has a plan to keep his PGA Tour career thriving — play more rounds with President Donald Trump. Whenever Herman plays golf with the president, soon after he hoists a trophy. It happened in 2016 with his breakthrough victory at the Houston Open, again before he won the Barbasol tournament last year — and now before Herman's improbable rally Sunday at Wyndham Championship to make the FedEx Cup playoffs. Jim Herman captured the PGA Tour's Barbasol Championship on Sunday, and he said the victory was due in part to valuable advice he received from President Trump when the two used to play together.
