My review of 'Jack Reacher'. No major spoilers.

For those of you who are new to this discussion, 5'7" Tom Cruise used his influence to land the role to play author Lee Child's 6'5" anti-hero, Jack Reacher (Cruise is also a producer). Paramount Pictures made the decision to postpone last Saturday’s premiere and the nationwide opening of Tom Cruise’s new movie, “Jack Reacher” this Friday in the wake of Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting. Have any of my fellow Freepers read Lee Child's Reacher novels, and if so, did you feel like he had a political agenda? The first two I read seemed to have a definite bias against mid-America, but I thought maybe it was coincidental. The one I'm reading now -- "Echo Burning" -- goes out of its way to slam white people, Protestants, and Texans. If Child is a liberal bigot, I want ditch his novels. Anyone here have a feel for the guy?
