"As a Lebanese, this is one of the happiest days in Lebanon's history.... As a human being who holds peace before my eyes, this is the most important day for our region. Nasrallah and Hezbollah have terrorized the Lebanese people since the 1980s.... Every Lebanese and every decent human being should feel joy at the downfall of one of the greatest evils of our time. Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr owes Israel a debt of gratitude for taking out the terrorists responsible for his father’s assassination in Lebanon four decades ago, but don’t expect the progressive former NBA star to say thank you, an Israeli columnist said. Kerr’s father, Malcolm Kerr, was gunned down in 1984 while serving as the president of American University in Beirut by two members of an Islamic jihadist group that is believed to have had ties to Hezbollah. “But don’t expect a thank you. It’s not in his progressive lexicon.” He has not commented publicly on the Israeli military’s...

Iran launched nearly 200 missiles into Israel on Tuesday in response to a series of targeted killings carried out by Israel that have left several leaders of militia groups alligned with Tehran dead. Israel is widely expected to launch strikes on Iran in response to the Tuesday attack. Bolton, a hawk who served as former President Trump’s national security adviser before breaking with him, argued for an aggressive approach. “Israel should destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons program. There...

U.S. President Joe Biden said Wednesday that Israel should not hit Iran’s nuclear program in responding to Tuesday’s ballistic missile attack by the Iranian regime. On Tuesday, the U.S. and other allies assisted Israel in shooting down most of the 181 ballistic missiles fired by Iran, none of which caused injuries or deaths inside Israel. However, the missile attack — the second in six months — sent the entire nation of Israel into bomb shelters. Israel is determined to respond and says that it will do so in a place, time, and manner of its choosing. But the Biden administration,...

"Israel will continue to defend its citizens and uphold its national dignity, with or without António Guterres," he concluded. Israel's foreign minister declared UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres 'persona non grata' and was henceforth banning him from entering Israel, according to a post on X/Twitter on Wednesday. The ban on entry, said FM Israel Katz, was due to Guterres's failure to "unequivocally condemn" Iran's massive missile attack on Israel. "Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran's heinous attack on Israel, as almost every country in the world has done, does not deserve to step foot on Israeli soil," Katz wrote. He...

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on Tuesday claimed that Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel was self-defense. In a post on social media site X, Araqchi also said Iran would not attack Israel again, unless Israel “invites further retaliation”. “Earlier this evening, we exercised self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, targeting solely military and security sites in charge of genocide in Gaza and Lebanon,” claimed the Iranian Foreign Minister. “We did so after exercising tremendous restraint for almost two months, to give space for a ceasefire in Gaza,” he continued. Araqchi then warned, “Our action is concluded unless...
