Bugs? Weird stuff? I've made significant changes to the underbelly, I believe all the bugs are ironed out, but, who knows? I'll keep an eye on the crash log, and if you see anything that really shouldn't be, please let me know here or via Freepmail. Thanks.

The Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal is so bad that it may turn out to be "the new Watergate" that drives President Bush from office. At least that's what New York Times columnist Frank Rich is hoping. "I think for the next few months we're going to be watching this thing move up through the Pentagon and Washington," Rich told radio host Don Imus on Friday. "You know, it may be the new Watergate in that sense." "We have to know how this was allowed to happen," the Bush-bashing columnist insisted. "Because the people who allowed it to happen in...

Nets Ignore Gorelick Role, Highlight Bremer Rebuke of Bush Team On Wednesday, the Justice Department released memos showing that in 1995 U.S. Attorneys objected to Clinton Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick’s guidelines about barring the CIA from sharing information related to terrorists inside the U.S., which Gorelick herself, now a member of the 9-11 Commission, conceded “go beyond what is legally required.” Thursday’s Washington Times put the freshly-released information on its front page, noting how Gorelick had rejected “criticism from U.S. prosecutors, who feared it could undermine future efforts to stop terrorist attacks.” On Wednesday night, FNC’s Special Report with...

Exactly 10 years ago the world stood by as a genocidal rampage by ethnic Hutus against ethnic Tutsis in Rwanda claimed as many as 800,000 lives. Now something similar may be unfolding in western Sudan, a region even more remote from the world's gaze. Will humanity bestir itself to act, or will history repeat itself?

Bush 'did not ignore al-Qaeda' Mr Rumsfeld took to the airwaves to defend the administration Senior US officials have again rejected allegations that they ignored the threat from al-Qaeda before the 11 September 2001 attacks. Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld denied charges by former counter-terrorism aide Richard Clarke that the administration was distracted by Iraq. "If one looks at what was done, we went to Afghanistan, we didn't go to Iraq" in the wake of the attacks, he said. Secretary of State Colin Powell also dismissed Mr Clarke's allegations. He denied that the incoming Bush administration paid little attention to terrorism,...

We have a great deal in common, particularly our commitment to democracy. We retain our commitment to the ANZUS alliance. That's why we feel it's important for you to understand why so many Australians opposed the war on Iraq.Australians have a history of support for international efforts to stop the spread of weapons including weapons of mass destruction and landmines. Weapons inspectors should have been given the time they asked for to peacefully disarm Iraq. No evidence of...

Forty-one Labor MPs, including 11 members of Simon Crean's front bench, have signed a protest letter to present to US President George Bush today, criticising his conduct of the Iraq war. Signatories to the letter include such powerful ALP figures as the shadow treasurer, Mark Latham, and Labor's Senate leader, John Faulkner. It was drafted by Sydney Labor MP Tanya Plibersek, who plans to...

There is no simple or single explanation for the kind of gaping budget deficit currently facing California. However, it would be naive in the extreme to ignore the impact of large-scale legal and illegal immigration on a $38.2 billion shortfall in this year's state budget.

Dear Fellow Freepers, It seems as though H&R Block has capitulated to the high-pressure scare tactics of HCI in the form of the "Alliance for Justice" making the statement that they will make sure that they will tell anyone and everyone about who is aligned with the NRA, the "out-of-touch" and unreasonable organization. H&R Block removed their advertising connection to the NRA due to this pressure. I wrote them a little note. It goes like this: Well Sir, you've really screwed the pooch this time. I don't suppose it occurred to you while you were making up your politically correct...
