A little earlier today I posted on Alex Jones’s dumpster fire, InfoWars, being nearly simultaneously deplatformed by YouTube, Facebook, Apple, Spotify and YouPorn (I didn’t make that up). The central point there being that Baron Acton’s aphorism, “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely,” applies as sure to major tech platforms as it does to individual men. Elizabeth Heng is a conservative Republican running for Congress against Democrat Jim Costa in California’s 16th District. Heng’s parents arrived in the United States thirty-three years ago as penniless, legal political refugees from the Cambodia of the Khmer Rouge. Heng graduated from Stanford,...

Communists have always sought to cover up the crimes of communism.  It started in Ukraine in the 1930s, when New York Times commie-symp reporter Walter Duranty covered up the man-made mass starvation in that part of the Soviet Union, and it's continued today in Venezuela with dictator Nicolás Maduro forbidding photos of empty store shelves and refusing to permit aid to the country's starving people, for fear of the truth getting out.  National Socialists are at least as zealous in seeking to cover up the truth about their Holocaust against the Jews. So I stare, appalled, as Facebook has been caught...

Video at link. A Facebook spokesperson said Tuesday that the company has lifted its block on California Republican Elizabeth Heng’s campaign ad showing photos of the Cambodian genocide. “Upon further review, it is clear the video contains historical imagery relevant to the candidate’s story,” said Facebook in an email to the Washington Times. “We have since approved the ad and it is now running on Facebook.” Ms. Heng received a message from Facebook last week saying that the ad violated the company’s policy against “shocking, disrespectful or sensational content, including ads that depict violence or threats of violence.”
  • Heng Gets Facebook Blocked (California R candidate)

Elizabeth Heng nearly beat incumbent Democratic congressman Jim Costa in California’s open primaries in early June. The 53–47 outcome would have made her the darling of the national political media, had she been a Democrat. She will face Costa again in the general election in November. My colleague Alexandra DeSanctis wrote an excellent piece last month profiling the young, smart, 33-year-old Republican contender. So this happened yesterday. Heng’s campaign had tried to place this video as an ad on Facebook. It begins with her family’s roots — amidst the horror of Cambodian genocide. • Why isn’t the media as interested in Elizabeth Heng as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

If all you knew about American politics came from The New York Times, CNN, The Washington Post, or MSNBC, you'd think that a "Blue wave" is about to swamp the country, with hip, millennial geniuses like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez surfing the crest of the wave. In fact, you would already think Ocasio-Cortez is the greatest hope for America since Barack Obama. America is a very large country, and reality is usually more complex than the media lets on. But, since the media already has their narrative and superstar Ocasio-Cortez set for this November, there's no room for another young, minority, female,...
