This letter is in regard to Senate Bill 389, the Comprehensive Abortion Reform Act, or CARA, passed by both the Kansas House of Representatives and Senate. This bill was vetoed by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius on April 21. It would have given women the choice to see the ultrasound of their unborn baby, medical resources for pregnancies threatened with fetal defects, and legal remedies for abortion fraud and damage.
