• Revoke the "Paradise Now" Oscar Nomination

To: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences "Paradise Now" is a movie that attempts to explain away the actions behind mass-murderers. This mere act in-effect legitimizes this type of mass-murder & portrays the murderers themselves as victims! There is NO way to legitimize this form of mass-murder. Hundreds of innocent men, women & children have been murdered by "palestinian" suicide-murderers in the past few years. Giving an Oscar to this movie will glorify these murderers & the groups that have sent them. It may even encourage more murders of this type. This petition has been influenced after reading...

The Palestinian film "Paradise Now," which explores the lives of a pair of suicide bombers and just won the Golden Globe for best foreign film, got two thumbs down Tuesday in this tough West Bank city where it was filmed. Although the film which snared the Golden Globe in Los Angeles on Monday has never been screened in Nablus, residents here said the clips they saw on satellite television portrayed the bombers as godless and less than heroic. "This movie doesn't help the Palestinian cause," said an armed Palestinian militant who would not give his name because he's on the...
  • Films show terrorists as people

Films show terrorists as people USA Today allows only the headline and the link, but paraphrasing, the article describes how movies like Syriana, Munich, and the Showtime series "Sleeper Cell" show terrorists in a sympathetic light. Farther down in the article, George Clooney says it's because of the public's "displeasure" with the Iraq war. I would suggest that it goes a few steps further. These movies are intended to turn the public against the war against terrorism, and they are trying to drum up sympathy for the terrorists. Do click on the link and read this.
  • Dump Chris Rock—Draft DeGeneres

They really should have known it wasn’t going to work out when he suggested that “Ellen DeGeneres has crabs.” Sentiments like that are never positive. Perhaps they also should have reviewed one of his lively comic routines before hiring him. Maybe then they would have learned that he’s a racist swine with a penchant for ideas that would make death row inmates blush. Abortion in America is “beautiful”? Not good. No serious person was really surprised to learn that Chris Rock believes only gays watch the Oscars. After his position on gay marriage was recently exposed—“f*** them fa**ots,” he explained...

A film about Osama arrived at the White House a few weeks ago, and President Bush has been raving about it ever since. He told cabinet members they should each get a copy and watch it for themselves. Secretary of State Colin Powell and Labor Secretary Elaine Chao agreed it was one of the more important videos they had ever seen, too. First Lady Laura Bush even invited some friends, including the wife of the Afghan ambassador, for a White House private screening.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is ruling out the prospect of returning to America to raise her child - because she deems her homeland too dangerous. The Oscar winning beauty - who is pregnant with her husband Chris Martin 's baby - has been living in London since settling down with the Coldplay star, and she has no intention of bringing up their child in a threatening environment. She says, "I worry about brining up a child in America. At the moment there's a weird, over-patriotic atmosphere over there, like, 'We're number one and the rest of the world doesn't matter.' And...
