A transgender South Florida woman is facing a murder charge in what she says was self-defense, and claims she she wouldn't be facing charges if not for her gender. The woman, who goes by Ms. Campbell, says she never should have been charged in the first place in the killing of Jackson Marcelin last year. "I do feel like that it may have been different if it was a woman in my situation," Campbell told NBC 6 in an exclusive interview. Gay community, I am your daughter. My mom raised me with her same-sex partner back in the ’80s and ’90s. She and my dad were married for a little while. She knew she was gay before they got married, but things were different back then. That’s how I got here. It was complicated as you can imagine. She left him when I was two or three because she wanted a chance to be happy with someone she really loved: a woman. My dad wasn’t a great guy, and after she left him he didn’t bother coming around anymore. Do you...

The culture war might be likened to fighting a war against a coalition of powers. Imagine WWI-style trench warfare on a long front. In the center of the enemy lines are the forces of moral relativism. These forces oppose the idea that there is a universal moral law. On one flank are the forces of the sexual revolution, including gays, feminists, adulterers, the promiscuous, and the pro-abortion folks. On the other flank are the cultural relativists, and multiculturalists. This camp opposes the ideas of truth, beauty, and intrinsic quality. It seeks to suppress the literary, philosophical, and artistic heritage of...

Here in Boystown, the gay talk show “Only@Brunch” recently mocked special needs, Down Syndrome toddler Trig Palin in the pilot episode of the latest “Downtown Cupid” production from Jared Hall. Because of the attention HillBuzz.org shined on this attack on a special needs child by catty gay men, Hall has released a statement agreeing the mocking of Trig Palin on “Only@Brunch” was indeed tasteless and unjustified. I, however, don’t feel Hall has explained himself well enough, because it remains a mystery why he chose to air this episode with the inclusion of the attack on Trig Palin. When taping anything...

A year ago a guy came into my office and said that he wanted to connect with the local gay community.

He is a person with a disability and finds it hard to make connections to the community. One of the things we did was start a support group for people like us --people with disabilities who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and/or transgender.
