Is taking Black Lives Matter organizers at face value on tragedies like the latest one in Dallas going to become the next mainstream media trend? Is the end of the story on cop killing always going to be about the one that got away? Will the media continue to legitimize BLM activists like Rev. Jeff Hood with prime time television interviews within 24 hours of the very day that five courageous police officers lost their lives with seven more wounded?

I once admired Jefferson, seeing him as an essentially good, no, great man with one tragic flaw: The writer of the inspiring words “all men are created equal” owned slaves. Now, I see Jefferson as an egregious hypocrite, who willfully betrayed the ideals he espoused. I reached this conclusion only after visiting Monticello, Jefferson’s famous Virginia estate, last month. Previously, I didn't realize the extent of Jefferson’s slave ownership, and I lazily—and ignorantly--excused it as a common ethical blind spot of his time. *Jefferson often denounced slavery. He wrote in 1774, "The abolition of domestic slavery is the great object...

A senior policewoman is under investigation amid claims she had an argument with a colleague about who had the most attractive breasts. Assistant Chief Constable Rebekah Sutcliffe has been suspended by Greater Manchester Police after the reported late-night row in a hotel bar. The 46-year-old is said to have got into a "loud disagreement" with Superintendent Sarah Jackson about who had the "best boobs" while attending the Senior Women In Policing conference. It is unknown which of the two women started the row, but the Mail on Sunday reported a source claiming ACC Sutcliffe had been "comparing" breasts with Supt...

At least 24 people are still missing after a collapse at Guatemala City's largest garbage dump this week that killed four people, the city said on Friday. People sifting through the dump, which receives about 500 truckloads of trash every day, were caught unawares on Wednesday when part of the massive heap of garbage caved in, according to authorities in Guatemala City. Four people were killed and 15 were rescued from the mountains of waste with injuries. City spokesman Carlos Sandoval said the 24 missing included seven recycling workers. Others had apparently entered the dump illegally, he said. The search...

Commentator Jamie Dech predicted that President Barack Obama might try to leverage his “political and media infrastructure” to usurp the presidential election by either inserting himself as a candidate or using martial law to automatically extend his presidency by four more years. “I believe, depending on Republican race results and possible agitation in the aftermath, it’s possible Obama could try for a ‘third term,’” he wrote Tuesday for Eagle Rising. “I don’t think he wants to give up the White House next January if he can help it.” In defending this ominous theory, Dech first pointed to what Obama said...

Late last month we learned from the National Enquirer that Ted Cruz has had up to seven different mistresses. Sure the Enquirer isn’t the most reliable source, but they did beak the John Edwards sex scandal. Now Ted is going after them for running the story. That begs the question, is it because he is guilty? Now that Ted Cruz seems the only competitor for Donald Trump for the nomination for president, the wheels seem to be falling off the wagon. The Cruz fans weathered the Enquirer story by writing it off as fiction. But when the attorney for the...

Ted Cruz leads Donald Trump in the Republican nomination contest in Wisconsin, according to a Fox Business Network Poll released Thursday. Cruz garners 42 percent among Wisconsin likely GOP primary voters, while Trump receives 32 percent. John Kasich comes in third with 19 percent. Among just those who say they will “definitely” vote, Cruz’s lead over Trump widens to 46-33 percent, and Kasich gets 16 percent. There is a big gender gap. Women back Cruz over Trump by a 19-point margin (46-27 percent). The two candidates are much closer among men: Cruz gets 40 percent to Trump’s 35 percent....

Let me begin with this. If the National Enquirer wrote a story about me cheating on my wife with five women, I had better be extremely definitive in my response; because if I’m not, my wife –smelling the guilt – would kick my ass. OK, let me also tell you that I wouldn’t be angry; in fact, I’d be ecstatic. It’s fun to count money from guaranteed punitive and compensatory damages in a multimillion dollar lawsuit. But that’s me. I can’t speak for Senator Ted Cruz except to say that so far his reaction seems —well, not exactly definitive. He...

Like everyone who cares about the survival of America instead of the survival of the Republican Party and the jobs of a few hundred leeches in and around Washington, I carefully weigh each new bit of news regarding the candidates. I am a Donald Trump supporter so I am concerned with what happens on the Republican side of the arena. The Democrat side has its own problems as they are running headlong toward nominating either a Communist or a Felon with an indictment hanging over her head. The most important news this past week was the revelation that Ted Cruz...

While it is not undeniable evidence that something more than a professional relationship took place between Amanda Carpenter and her former boss, Senator Ted Cruz, the prompt cleaning up of her social media account did not go unnoticed by some and is now leading to yet further speculation as to the potential validity regarding allegations of somewhat recent sexual relations between Mr. Cruz and women outside of his marriage. This now-deleted tweet is perhaps the most interesting of the bunch:
-
"The Cruz campaign reportedly knew for weeks, at least since January, about the allegations."
