Actress Jennifer Aniston expressed her support for the killing of unborn babies in abortions over the weekend, posting “No uterus, no opinion” and other pro-abortion content on her Instagram account. Her Instagram story posts coincided with the Women’s March protests on Saturday. The march adopted a radical pro-abortion theme this year, “Rally for Abortion Justice,” to oppose pro-life laws that are saving thousands of babies’ lives. Aniston shared several photos of pro-abortion protesters on her Instagram page Sunday, likely from the protest. Best known for her role on the sitcom “Friends,” she also posted a GIF from the show when...

Stoicism is the wisdom of madness and cynicism the madness of wisdom. - Bergen EvansIn an age of cynicism it pays to be very skeptical. Sure, it’s possible that Ross and Rachel are getting together in real life. It’s possible that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer reignited their chemistry following the Friends reunion movie (now streaming on HBO). Friends 1994 above, 2021 below. All but Mathew Perry seem to have aged well – drugs will do that to you. Cosmetic surgery will take care of everything else. It’s possible that Jen and David are real-life lobsters.Season 2 episode 14 "The One...

**SNIP** At the moment, though, friendship is not recognized by law. And only a handful of states allow friends to gain legal recognition through registration as domestic partners. These include Maine, Maryland and Colorado. However, any two consenting adults – regardless of their genders – can get married in the U.S. Two friends, therefore, can pretty easily pull it off. But they can't admit that they're only friends. Legally speaking, it could be seen as a sham marriage. For this reason, two friends who tie the knot and receive a marriage certificate can still face considerable risks. They expose themselves...

Former President George W. Bush reflected in a new interview on the surprise many Americans expressed at his friendship with former first lady Michelle Obama. In an interview released on Sunday with CBS News’s Norah O’Donnell, Bush noted several times that his friendly relationship with Obama has gone viral, including when they hugged at the 2016 opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture and when he passed her a cough drop during former Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) 2018 funeral.

The group chat was labelled “XXXX Lovelies” (presumably the name of their street); it included some of the women in the Cruz family’s neighbourhood. The subject was the cold weather they were experiencing in Texas, but it quickly turned to going away, when Heidi, the wife of Republican Senator Ted Cruz, asked whether any of the families were up for a trip to Cancun. The Cruz family getaway, of course, went viral, and the Texas senator, 50, faced fierce backlash after pictures emerged of the couple and their two daughters, Caroline, 12, and Cathryn, 10, flying out of the state...

The window for ice fishing on Fernan Lake opened long enough for Bill Hendrickson and Pat Brady to venture out Tuesday for the first time. “I just caught a trout,” Hendrickson said as he walked back to the chairs they had set around the holes they cut in the ice, some 100 yards from shore. It was 16 to 18 inches, he said, the first of what they hoped would be many. Perch, crappie and bass were also swimming below the surface, just waiting to be reeled in. “It’s kind of like a mystery,” Hendrickson said. “You never know what...

A priest and a rabbi were sitting next to each other on an airplane. After a bit, the priest turned to the rabbi and asked: "Is it still a requirement of your faith that you not eat pork?” The rabbi responded: "Yes, that is still one of our beliefs.” The priest then asked: "Have you ever eaten pork?” To which the rabbi replied: "Yes, on one occasion I did succumb to the temptation and tasted a ham sandwich.” The priest nodded in understanding and went on with his reading. A while later, the rabbi spoke up and asked the priest,...

...Quakers who stuck by the sect’s pacifist teachings had a tough go of the American Revolution, often lumped in as Tories by patriots and subject to spasms of popular abuse, official writs confiscating their property, and other indignities from those who considered them “the unfriendly Quakers … notoriously disaffected to the cause of American Liberty.”† That same prejudice occasionally exposed Quakers to the severest punishments for perceived crimes. Thus Morden, who presumably helped the British agent as a personal gesture of assistance, an everyday “crime” for which hanging was an extreme stricture: one hundred Continental dollars from Chamberlain’s press to...

Believe it or not, I have friends that are Democrats Democrats, Now I know you don't like President Trump. That’s a given, so let's move on from that. How about the division of America. Do you blame Trump for that? How about when None of the Democrats showed up for his inauguration? Don't you think that started the division? He hadn't even been president yet, and except for Clinton and Obama, not one Democrat showed up. Is that when Trump divided America? Can you imagine if the Republicans didn't show up for Obama's inauguration because they lost? Can you even...

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) –Three young men were “massacred” during a fishing trip in Frostproof Friday night in what Sheriff Grady Judd called one of the worst murder scenes he’s ever witnessed. Judd said Frostproof residents Brandon Rollins, 27, Keven Springfield, 30, and Damion Tillman, 23, were to meet at Lake Streety off US Hwy 27 Friday evening for some ‘night fishing.’ “It’s about as far out in the middle of the woods as you can get,” Judd said. “It’s a peaceful area. There’s a beautiful lake where three very close friends were going fishing last night.” Judd said Damion...

(CNN) They are best friends and coworkers who normally go to Coachella together every year. But in 2020, the coronavirus pandemic has made their regular sojourn to the desert for the April music festival impossible. So, Charles Lichaa and Lo Noulinthavong decided to throw their own "homecoachella." At Lichaa's West Hollywood, California, apartment last week, the two 30-year-olds sported colorful bandanas as masks, like they would in Coachella where the wind often blows dust around the festival grounds. Then they danced around, rewatching sets of their favorite artists, such as Rüfüs Du Sol and Blackpink. Two weeks ago, Lichaa and...

I'm full {almost} to the point of pain. But I'm feeling good. Just me and my adult daughter and son and two dogs. The dogs did scrap patrol, and were very successful. The wine was good, the turkey perfect, and we had squash, sweet and mashed taters, a real good dressing and plenty of gravy. Also rolls, and cranberry sauce. Now I'm full. Can I lay down, or will I risk anything by sleeping on a full stomach?

Yet another staffer for Rep. Adam Schiff served as a fellow for the Atlantic Council, a think tank that is funded by and works in partnership with Burisma, the natural gas company at the center of allegations regarding Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. Sean Misko has been described as “close friends” with Eric Ciaramella, whom Real Clear Investigations suggests is the likely so-called whistleblower. Misko reportedly joined Schiff’s staff at the House Intelligence Committee in August – the same month the so-called whistleblower’s complaint was filed after first reportedly interfacing with a staffer for Schiff’s office. Misko in...

During my student days at a UCLA economics department faculty/graduate student coffee hour in the 1960s, I was chatting with Professor Armen Alchian, probably the greatest microeconomic theory economist of the 20th century. I was trying to impress Alchian with my knowledge of statistical type I and type II errors. I explained that unlike my wife, who assumed that everyone was her friend until they prove differently, my assumption was everyone was an enemy until they proved otherwise. The result: My wife's vision maximized the number of her friends but maximized her chances of betrayal. My vision minimized my chances...

Transience is the very essence of the entertainment business, unpredictability its warp and weft. Early this month, the market research and data analytics firm YouGov published the results of a startling poll. According to interviews with 1,254 adult Americans, 30 percent of millennials have no best friends, 27 percent have no close friends and 22 percent have no friends at all. Not surprisingly, the report named them “the loneliest generation.” But loneliness is all around and perhaps nowhere more profoundly than in Hollywood. Here’s what surprised me: that the statistics weren’t worse, for older people as well as millennials. Look...

Reports that two herds of South African elephants that were rescued by wildlife conservationist Lawrence Anthony traveled to his home to pay their respects upon Anthony’s death are true. This according to a March 11, 2012 article by the New York Times. Anthony’s son, Dylan Anthony, told the New York Times that the elephants gathered on the edge of the reserve near his house every night after his death. Anthony was the author of numerous books on wildlife conservation. He also created the 5,000-acre Thula Thula wildlife sanctuary and adopted herds of elephants that would have been killed, according to...
