A special Firefly marathon is on tonight starting at 7/6 tonight!

WHAT DOES A PREMIUM CABLE NETWORK SUCH AS HBO OR SHOWTIME HAVE TO GAIN BY ADOPTING FIREFLY? There have been around 600,000 dvds of the Firefly dvd series sold to date in the US at a retail price of $50 a set. Assuming that a sixth of them already subscribe to the premium cable networks, that still leaves around a half a million people that would gladly subscribe to whichever premium network decides to revive firefly for a price cheaper per episode than what they paid for the dvd. When you consider how many of those 600,000 dvds were borrowed...

Okay, just walked in the door from watching "Serenity". I walked in to the theater prepared to be dissapointed- and, man, was I NOT dissapointed! In point of fact, it blew me away! Now as in any movie, there are plot points and physics (especially the physics in this one!) that could ruin the story for you if you let them. I chose to ignore these things, and just enjoy the movie. Tonight's Sci-Fi Listing: 7/6 - Firefly 8/7 - Stargate Sg1 marathon.. Basically a marathon showing past episodes of Sg1.. Last weeks episode was good. So far I'm impressed the way BB is handling his role.

Having completely missed this one when it was actually being broadcast, I decided to give the boxed set a shot. "Firefly" is easily the best science fiction show that I have ever seen. The writing and acting were superb. I think a lot of the themes in this show would be dear to the hearts of a lot of freepers. Freedom, honor, self-reliance.

Last weeks episode was a good one. More of a ha ha type of episode. 9/8 - Stargate Atlantis: They crash land on a planet where they offer the wraith prisoners for food (hmmmm). Tonight's Sci-Fi Listing: 7/6 - Firefly: Yes I know the Sci-fi channel is showing repeats, but I consider Firefly one of the best shows.. Also Firefly is a good example in why Sci-Fi shows should never be on a regular network. 8/7 - Stargate SG1: Avalon Pt II, I was impressed in how Browder seems to fit in the show..
