On Wednesday, former National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s legal team filed a motion to remove U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan from the case. The basis for the motion was that Sullivan has shown “contempt and disdain for the defense,†according to Just the News. Flynn’s attorneys, Sidney Powell and Jesse Binnall, filed the motion after a hearing last week saw the several clashes between the judge and the defense. Flynn has also tried to get the D.C. Circuit Court to issue a writ of mandamus forcing Sullivan to drop the case. The full court sided with Sullivan’s appeal after a panel...

Upscale department-store chain Lord & Taylor and its owner, clothing rental startup Le Tote Inc., have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The filing Sunday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Richmond, Va., came less than a year after Le Tote bought the chain from Hudson's Bay Co. in a $100 million deal. Lord & Taylor has 38 locations in the U.S., according to the filing, and about 650 employees. Some of the stores, which have been closed since March due to the pandemic, reportedly had new "store closing" signs put up Sunday. I'm trying to download my YT Playlist (157 songs) to a 256GB Flash Drive, and only 4 will play in my 2 USBs in my new Jeep Grand Cherokee HEMI V8. Most download on to the flash as *.opus; only 4 come thru8 as M4A or MP4. The 4 will play, and are the only ones to appear on the playlist. What format should I convert to? Is there fellow FReeper who's done this successfully. I used SaveFromNet.net and can't find any help thru Google, except Online VideoConverter, but keep getting an ERROR message. Is there a better video to...

WASHINGTON — The White House has rebuffed concerns among American intelligence and law enforcement officials and ordered that more lawmakers be given access to classified information about an informant the F.B.I. used in 2016 to investigate possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia, according to two American officials with knowledge of the decision. Both the director of national intelligence and the director of the F.B.I. tried to keep the classified documents tightly restricted, fearing that a broader dissemination of operational reports and other sensitive material could lead to more leaks of detailed information about the role of the confidential...

Facebook regularly collects data on its 1.4 billion daily active users worldwide — here is how to find the information they have collected on you. The Daily Mail reports that Facebook may be tracking your Internet habits even if you’ve never registered an account on the site. Facebook states that this information is used to target specific advertising towards users and for other security reasons —explaining why you may suddenly see ads on Facebook for a new lawnmower right after you searched the internet for “gardening supplies.” Although it is not really possible to stop Facebook tracking your internet habits,...

The Clintons and their associates, whether it's Sandy Berger or Cheryl Mills, certainly have a gift for making paperwork disappear. Sandy Berger, Bill Clinton’s former National Security Adviser, stole classified documents about the terror failures of the Clinton administration, hid documents under a construction trailer, lied about taking them and destroyed some of them. Hillary Clinton confidants were part of an operation to “separate” damaging documents before they were turned over to the Accountability Review Board investigating security lapses surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya. According to former Deputy Assistant Secretary Raymond...

Think Hillary knew something when she said there is no criminal investigation regarding my emails, and she said the meeting was just to wrap up the inquiry. Hillary, Bill, & David Kendall have been untouchable in DC for decades.

Hey, guys! I've encountered problem with my new laptop (courtesy of the wife!) that I've not encountered before. It's got me stumped, and I can't save any files because of it. When clicking on Save or Save As, I get an immediate pop-up, "adownloader", which unapologetically says, "Cannot create file"C:\Users\Dolt\Downloads\Data\FRED\Population data\LFWA64TTUM647N:\1453506086945.DownloadFile". The filename, directory name,or volume label syntax is incorrect." Note that "Dolt" has been substituted for my user name! I cannot move past this. I've Googled it, to no avail. I'm loathe to use registry cleaners, as they often cause more problems than they solve. Can anyone out there...

House Republicans are threatening to subpoena documents related to an ObamaCare program at the center of their lawsuit against President Obama. The Republican chairmen of the Ways and Means and Energy and Commerce committees on Wednesday released a letter to the administration reiterating a request made in February for documents related to the program. Reps. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Fred Upton (R-Mich.) set a deadline of July 21 for a response. If the administration does not provide the documents by then, a subpoena will be considered, they said. “If HHS fails to produce the documents and information, the committees will...

Yemen's crisis is getting worse and then some. Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies have started bombing rebel positions inside Yemen. The Sunni Kingdom added that it would do "anything necessary" to deter the Iran-backed Shiite rebels who are taking over Yemen and trying to oust US-backed President Abd Rabbah Mansur Hadi. A Saudi source told Reuters that ground troops might be needed in Yemen to "restore order." Saudi Arabia is reportedly contributing as many as 150,000 troops and 100 warplanes to the campaign against the Houthis.

When the United States did not speak at Monday's UN Human Rights debate about possible Israeli war crimes during the recent Operation Protective Edge, news service Reuters was quick to point out that it was part of Obama's threatened reevaluation of the relationship with Israel. If they had asked the U.S. or Israeli delegation they would have learned it was part of a coordinated plan between the two countries to snub the Human Rights Council. According to Reuters it was to be the first of Barack Obama's "punishments" directed toward Israel. Initially, Reuters reported that the US decision was unprecedented,...

Nevada dad John Eppolito got a bad case of sticker shock when he asked state education officials to see the permanent records of his four children. He was told it would cost $10,194. A Lake Tahoe-area real estate agent by trade and a fierce opponent of Common Core, Eppolito was concerned about Nevada's recent decision to join a multi-state consortium that shares students’ data. He wanted to know exactly what information had been compiled on his school-age kids. But state officials told him he would have to pay fees and the cost of programming and running a custom report. “The...
