Speaking later on CNBC, Coca-Cola chief executive James Quincey called the legislation a “step backward.” “It does not promote principles we have stood for in Georgia around broad access to voting, around voter convenience, about ensuring election integrity,” he said. “This legislation is wrong and needs to be remedied.”

The chief executive of Delta, Ed Bastian, sent a letter on Wednesday to employees expressing regret for the company’s muted opposition to a restrictive voting law passed last week by the Georgia legislature. “I need to make it crystal clear that the final bill is unacceptable and does not match Delta’s values,” he wrote in an internal memo that was reviewed by The New York Times. ... The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is considering requiring COVID-19 testing for travelers planning to go on domestic flights.
