"They won't work in my White House!" candidate Obama proclaimed about lobbyists. This was never true. Obama has hired about 100 lobbyists, and now he's just promoted one of them: revolving-door K Street Democratic operative Ron Klain is now Obama's Ebola czar. Klain served as chief of staff to Janet Reno and then Al Gore in the 1990s, and as Joe Biden's chief of staff recently. In between, of course, he was a corporate lobbyist. Klain worked at O'Melveny & Myers, lobbying on behalf of Fannie Mae, U.S. Airways, Time Warner, Cigna, ImClone, and other companies and industry groups

A truck and trailer carrying about 100 monkeys collided with a dump truck Friday afternoon along Route 54 just off Interstate 80 near Danville, Pennsylvania. Three monkeys escaped the crash. The monkeys were later reportedly “humanely euthanized.” The CDC is now monitoring local residents for cold-like symptoms. That’s very comforting considering the lab leak from Wuhan that just destroyed the global economy.

Documents show concerns about Ebola shipment from National Microbiology Lab, no relation to COVID-19 (according to the CBC) Newly-released access to information documents reveal details about a shipment of deadly pathogens last year from Canada's National Microbiology Lab to China — confirming for the first time who sent them, what exactly was shipped, and where it went. CBC News had already reported about the shipment of Ebola and Henipah viruses but there's now confirmation one of the scientists escorted from the lab in Winnipeg amid an RCMP investigation last July was responsible for exporting the pathogens to the Wuhan Institute...

Newly unclassified documents confirm that Chinese scientists smuggled deadly viruses from Canadian lab to Wuhan Institute of Virology. When GreatGameIndia first published the report in January, regarding this biological espionage at Canadian lab, it was viciously attacked by a section of mainstream media. The shipment was sent just months before the Coronavirus outbreak by Chinese biowarfare agent Dr. Xiangguo Qiu. Canadian authorities are still in denial about Qiu’s role in the shipment although released documents mention her by name. The authorities are also downplaying the investigation dubbing it an “administrative issue”, while heavily redacting crucial information citing national security laws....

Dr. Robert Malone, known as the inventor of mRNA technology used in the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines, recently spoke with Steve Bannon on "The War Room" to shed light on the latest viral outbreak in China, which the government he claims is hiding the truth about its origins. In December, the Chinese communist government placed Xi'an city in northwest Shaanxi province under lockdown following reports of hemorrhagic fever cases. According to WION, there had been "multiple community transmission chains" including hemorrhagic fever cases in the area. China's state-run Global Times described it as a "grim and complicated epidemic situation."...

Dr. Robert Malone joined Steve Bannon on The War Room to discuss the latest viral outbreak in China. The communist regime is hiding the nature and spread of this latest disease. This has many experts worried including Dr. Malone who is the inventor of the mRNA vaccines. Dr. Malone today told the War Room audience that he is hearing the current disease that is spreading across China is reportedly an “Ebola-like hemorrhagic fever virus.” The regime is hiding the true nature of this disease from the public and from the global community — Just like last time! Today there are...

Ebola’s average mortality rate is 50 per cent.. A top physician says it will be necessary to keep “vaccinating the world for years” in order to prevent a COVID strain as deadly as Ebola from developing. The comments were made earlier today by Frank Ulrich Montgomery, chairman of the global physicians’ society the World Medical Association (WMA). “My great concern is that there could be a variant that is as infectious as Delta and as dangerous as Ebola,” he told the newspapers of the Funke media group. According to Montgomery, “It will be necessary to vaccinate the world for years...

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Wednesday that it had begun administering Ebola vaccines to people in eastern Congo. WHO said in a statement that people most at-risk for contracting the disease would be vaccinated first, The Associated Press reported. About 200 doses were sent to Beni, a region that was particularly hard-hit by the outbreak from 2018-2020 and where a case of Ebola was identified last week. About 1,000 doses were also sent to Goma, Congo’s North Kivu province's capital city, according to the AP. Last week, a toddler died from the disease, and his family is expected...

The first outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in the Western Hemisphere in four decades began on July 28 in the Dominican Republic and was confirmed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The presence of ASF has led to massive hog culling on the Caribbean island that borders Haiti. Bloomberg notes the island may have to slaughter more than half a million pigs to prevent the deadly swine fever virus from spreading. Pork supplies are dwindling, and Dominican importers are panic buying from U.S. slaughterhouses. The latest USDA data shows U.S. exporters shipped a whopping 3,500 metric tons...

< snip >In "The Black Swan"--a kind of cri de coeur--Mr. Taleb struggles to free us from our misguided allegiance to the bell-curve mindset and awaken us to the dominance of the power law. The attractiveness of the bell curve resides in its democratic distribution and its mathematical accessibility. Collect enough data and the pattern reveals itself, allowing both robust predictions of future data points (such as the height of the next five people to enter the room) and accurate estimations of the size and frequency of extreme values (anticipating the occasional giant or dwarf. The power-law distribution, by contrast,...

The Ministry of Health of Cote d’Ivoire today confirmed the country’s first case of Ebola since 1994. This came after the Institut Pasteur in Cote d’Ivoire confirmed the Ebola Virus Disease in samples collected from a patient, who was hospitalized in the commercial capital of Abidjan, after arriving from Guinea. Initial investigations found that the patient had travelled to Cote d’Ivoire by road and arrived in Abidjan on 12 August. The patient was admitted to a hospital after experiencing a fever and is currently receiving treatment. Guinea experienced a four-month long Ebola outbreak, which was declared over on the 19...

Trees and wildflowers blossom during all four seasons in Kunming, which is known as The City of Eternal Spring because of its year-round mild temperatures. However, it is also home to something much less natural: a laboratory where scientists have been creating monkey embryos with a mutated gene so that, when born, they will age unusually fast. Such experiments are done to study human diseases such as autism, cancer, Alzheimer's and muscular dystrophy.

... Over hours of debate in the House of Commons, Conservative, NDP and Bloc Québécois members repeatedly called on the Liberal government to provide details as to why two scientists were fired from Winnipeg’s high-security National Microbiology Laboratory (NML) earlier this year, amid an RCMP investigation into the matter... “How could scientists with deep connections to the Chinese military be able to gain access to a high-level Canadian security-cleared laboratory with the world’s most dangerous viruses?” Conservative MP John Williamson asked during debate... Dr. Xiangguo Qiu and her biologist husband, Keding Cheng, were escorted out of the NML in July...

Earlier in Joe Biden’s presidency, we wondered if his wife Jill was running the White House, and in effect the country. It’s still not out of the question, but it’s beginning to look more like Chief of Staff Ron Klain, unelected and not confirmed by the Senate, is the real president. This should make all Americans uncomfortable. Klain, who was the vice president’s chief of staff when Biden held that office, has been called “the man executing Biden’s mission” (which seems to be carrying out the Cloward-Piven model that advocates manufacturing a political and economic crisis so that politicians can...

Cassio Fontes, PhD, holds up the D4 Assay. Credit: Michaela Kane, Duke University An interdisciplinary team of scientists at Duke University has developed a highly sensitive and rapid diagnostic test for Ebola virus (EBOV) infection. In monkeys infected with Ebola, this diagnostic, called the D4-assay, proved to be 1000 times more sensitive than the currently approved rapid diagnostic test and capable of detecting the virus a full day earlier than the gold standard polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. This work, which appears in Science Translational Medicine on April 7, was done by biomedical engineers, molecular biologists, and immunologists at Duke...

Washington was considered ground zero for COVID-19 in the U.S., and now 23 travelers from the state are being monitored for another deadly contagious virus: Ebola. Add 4 in Oregon and 40 in Ohio! The travelers recently returned from the West African countries of Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo — where there are outbreaks of the deadly virus — according to a news release from the state’s Department of Health. The risk of Ebola coming to the United States remains “extremely low,” according to a news release last month from the Centers from Disease Control and Prevention. Likewise,...

Health officials are monitoring 44 Ohioans who may have had exposure to Ebola after returning from areas of Africa with active outbreaks. In a five-page statement explaining Tuesday why he vetoed Senate Bill 22, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said it is believed that all of those individuals are at a "very low risk" of having contracted the deadly virus.

An Ebola outbreak now occurring in Guinea was almost certainly started by someone who survived West Africa’s historic 2014-16 epidemic, harbored the virus for at least five years and then transmitted it via semen to a sex partner, researchers reported on Friday. The current outbreak in Guinea was first recognized in January and has infected at least 18 people and killed nine."(Emphasis Mine) "West Africa’s previous epidemic infected more than 28,000 people, killed more than 11,000 and left thousands of survivors, some of whom were already being shunned because of fears about the disease. "

Resurfaced interviews show Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has been the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease since 1984, was opposed to "draconian" quarantines that could have "unintended consequences" – back in 2014 during an Ebola outbreak in Africa. He warned in late October of that year that enforcing mandatory quarantines would discourage medical professionals from volunteering aid in stricken areas. Governors from both major parties had imposed mandatory 21-day quarantines on people returning from affected countries in an effort to prevent the virus from spreading into the U.S. "The best way to protect us is to...

CONAKRY (Reuters) - The World Health Organization has asked six African countries to be alert for possible Ebola infections, as Guinea on Tuesday reported new cases and Democratic Republic of Congo said its new infections were a resurgence of a previous outbreak. Guinea declared an outbreak of the virus on Sunday in the first return of the disease there since the 2013-2016 outbreak, while Congo has confirmed four new cases this month. Health authorities have rushed to respond to the cases in Guinea, anxious to prevent a repeat of the last outbreak in West Africa, which killed more than 11,300...
