A Brexit Party candidate has stood down after allegedly claiming that she ‘came from a star’ and believes world governments are working with aliens. Jill Hughes was confirmed as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Brexit Party in the Batley and Spen constituency in October. However, after Hope Not Hate looked into Brexit Party candidates’ backgrounds, the campaign group revealed that the ex-banker had a number of unusual beliefs.
