    The Obama administration has directed Department of Justice staffers not to enforce the law requiring lists of dead or inactive voters be expunged, according to J. Christian Adams, the DOJ official whose May 14 resignation stems from the administration's squelching of voter intimidation charges against members of the New Black Panther Party for an incident that occurred on Election Day 2008 in Philadelphia. The requirement is mandated by the 1993 Motor Voter Act. Adams says the order was given last November at a meeting of the DOJ's Voting Section convened by Deputy Assistant Attorney General Julie Fernandes, a political appointee.
