NBC News correspondent Dasha Burns reported Tuesday that John Fetterman, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, still has "a hard time understanding what he’s hearing" ahead of the midterm elections. Burns appeared on MSNBC’s "Katy Tur Reports" to preview her exclusive interview with the lieutenant governor, which will air in its entirety on Wednesday. Both Burns and Tur noted that this would mark the first time that Fetterman has sat down for a one-on-one interview with a reporter since his stroke in May. Regarding the stroke, Burns commented that the interview itself showed Fetterman struggling to have...

We almost can’t believe how poorly prepared the Joe Biden campaign is. He’s still the front runner, and there was a time when people assumed he, like Hillary, was the chosen one, and all he had to do was announce his candidacy and the nomination was his. But his campaign has been a disaster — he had to post a video explaining away his creepy groping and hair sniffing — and his performance in the debates has been terrible so far, with the old white man getting kneecapped by Kamala Harris, who shot way up in the polls. And then...

Rocker David Crosby said in an op-ed published in the Daily Beast that President Donald Trump is “completely under the control of Russia” and suggested that the GOP intends to win again in 2020 with the help of the Kremlin. Crosby wondered what the Russians “have” on Trump, rehashing the egregious and unfounded allegations outlined in the anti-Trump Steele dossier. “It could be the alleged ‘pee tape,’ could be some truth to the whispers that Trump has been laundering Russian mob money for at least 20 years through his New York real estate deals, stashing illegal money in multimillion-dollar apartments...

An analysis of the causes of death of 3,419 former athletes in the National Football League and 2,708 former Major League Baseball players finds that football players suffer a mortality rate nearly 1.3 times higher than baseball players. The study, published last week (May 24) in JAMA Network Open, calculated NFLers to be 2.5 times more likely to succumb to cardiovascular disease and nearly three times more likely to die from neurodegenerative disease than MLB players. The underlying reason for the disparity is not known, and it’s unclear if it has to do with elements of the sports themselves, such...

Shantavia Jackson signed her three sons up for football to keep them out of trouble. As a single mother who works the night shift at a Home Depot warehouse 50 minutes away from her house, Jackson relies on the sport to shield the boys from gang activity in her rural Georgia county. They began in a local league five years ago when they were still little, their helmets like bobbleheads on their shoulders. Now 11, 12, and 14, they play in games across the region. Jackson says she passed up a daytime shift at Home Depot so that she can...

Former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya said Monday that he’s considering adding another title to his collection: leader of the free world. "I am actually very, very serious and I strongly feel that if a Kanye West can do it and announce and maybe tease the world that he would maybe one day wanna run for president, why not me," the fighter-turned-promoter said in a video released by TMZ.

There’s nothing like a little violence to focus the mind. I am the Middlebury College professor who ended up with whiplash and a concussion for having the audacity to engage with the ideas of Charles Murray, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. Though he is someone with whom I disagree, I welcomed the opportunity to moderate a talk with him on campus on March 2 because several of my students asked me to do so. They know I am a Democrat, but the college courses I teach are nonpartisan. As I wrote on Facebook immediately after the incident, this...

On Wednesday, August 15, MSNBC’s noon show, “NOW With Alex Wagner,” featured a brief but revealing segment on Vice President Joseph Biden’s recent gaffe. This was the one where Biden addressed a crowd, mostly of African-Americans, and, using what sounded like a Southern accent, said of the Romney/Ryan team: “They’re going to put ya’ll back in chains,” supposedly with deregulation of Wall Street. The “NOW” panel was urged to address this by host Alex Wagner, but from a specific standpoint – “How do we get past this and get to the big issues?” One of her guests, Eric Bates, executive...

"I have not seen anything like this in the years I have been a member of Congress. It's a peaceful revolution but I think it is a revolution we're seeing," Arizona's senior Senator John McCain says after a series of health care town halls. McCain was in Oro Valley to deliver the final address to the annual conference of Arizona's League of Cities and Towns. When asked what was the one thing that surprised him most about the town halls he replied, "the anger." McCain believes that anger is being displayed not by professional protestors but by people who are...

The fantasy of 'clean' pro athletes is so very 1925. Why not let them all be drug-crazed gladiators? It would be just like porn. See, in the porn world, as you surely know, as I think I read somewhere just before heading off to church, there are more genres and fetishes and wondrously illicit perversions than your average political convention. In Bangkok. But there's one major split among fans worth mentioning: those who prefer their starlets to be "real" and all-natural . . .

Report card gives NFL B+ for racial diversityAssociated Press ORLANDO, Fla. -- The NFL's rule that at least one minority candidate be interviewed for each head coaching vacancy is the reason there are now a record seven black head coaches, six more than 16 years ago, the author of several sports diversity studies said Thursday. The University of Central Florida's Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport credited the league's "Rooney Rule," adopted in late 2002, for the improvement. "It's been really fast-tracked in a big-time way," study author Richard Lapchick said. "I've always felt the commissioner [Paul Tagliabue] had...

Many argue that communism will never be possible because of "human nature". The essence of this false argument is the belief that a communist society would consist of an all-powerful central government that would tell everybody what to do--and would therefore undermine the creative initiative of individuals and the search for happiness. • This argument is based on two false assumptions: (1) It assumes that a communist society will look like the former Soviet Union, or the current China, North Korea, etc (ie: corrupt police states with a feudal-style ruling class) (2) It assumes that people will only work in...

Gas costs so much. I cant afford it. Why want Bush do something? Don't say he can't. His daddy or his handlers could be on the phone in 2 minutes with the Rothchilds and by 1 week, oil prices would be under $20 and gas would be 1 dollar a gallon. You know it and I know it. Why want he? Do you know? Is there sombody we can call? Plaese advice.

The Media CIA CONTROLED MEDIDA AND/OR MEDIA MANIPULATION IS A VIOLATION OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHT TO A FREE PRESS CONCERNING ALL 50 STATES AND EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN PLEASE REVIEW: http://government.rantnetwork.com/usgovcoverups (read website on "operation mockingbird") Journalism is a perfect cover for CIA agents. People talk freely to journalists, and few think suspiciously of a journalist aggressively searching for information. Journalists also have power, influence and clout. Not surprisingly, the CIA began a mission in the late 1940s to recruit American journalists on a wide scale, a mission it dubbed Operation MOCKINGBIRD. The agency wanted these journalists not only to...

NEW DELHI: The youth of India just won't stop experimenting with intoxicants. The country of Sierra Leone has declared war on the country they believe to be harboring weapons of mass destruction. The tiny country that boasts the world's worst GDP, has found extensive evidence to support the facts that the United States has weapons of mass destruction. They are calling on the UN to launch an immediate attack on such strategic locales as Newark, New Jersey, Troy, Michigan and Austin, Texas.
