One person was severely injured in Åstorp, where a witness told the press: “People screamed and cried. It felt so unreal.” A resident told Radio Sweden that his 7-year-old had come running into his bedroom screaming, as the blast made their apartment shake. ... Since 2018, there have been almost 500 bombings—yes, bombings—in what is known as one of the most stable societies in the world. There’s not just...

Seven of 10 new students in a Baltimore-Washington area school district are immigrants, their legal status unknown and their second language English, according to a series of new media reports about the impact of surging immigration on local communities. Baltimore said that there has been a 130 percent surge of students enrolled...

The Cologne police acknowledged that the McDonald’s attacker might have caused significant carnage if his firebomb attack had gone as planned. The alleged perpetrator is a Syrian “refugee” who is said to admire the Islamic State. Yet the last I heard, the authorities deny any connection with “terrorism”. Presumably that’s because they failed to find an ISIS membership card in the guy’s apartment. Oh, by the way — he also has “mental problems”.

A leading trauma surgeon has predicted a summer of “carnage” if alarming rates of youth violence continue across the capital. Martin Griffiths said that treating children with knife and gunshot wounds had become “the bread and butter” of his work at the Royal London Hospital in east London. He said that the warmer weather would further inflame violence among young Londoners and that the severity and frequency of attacks had reached a level he would expect in South Africa or the US. A rise in violent crime across London has left more than 60 people dead from stabbings and shootings...

The swelling population of illegal immigrants and their kids is costing American taxpayers $135 billion a year, the highest ever, driven by free medical care, education and a huge law enforcement bill, according to the the most authoritative report on the issue yet. And despite claims from pro-illegal immigration advocates that the aliens pay significant off-setting taxes back to federal, state and local treasuries, the Federation for American Immigration Reform report tallied just $19 billion, making the final hit to taxpayers about $116 billion. State and local governments are getting ravaged by the costs, at over $88 billion. The federal...

A burns surgeon who treats many acid attack victims coming out of East London has suggested that the proliferation of such crimes is now at epidemic levels. Dr Martin Niall, a burn surgeon at Mid-Essex Hospital, told National Public Radio (NPR) in the U.S. that acid attacks in Britain “are now at levels that one of my colleagues described as epidemic”. He added: “Everyone, ourselves included, has been shocked by this emerging threat to public health.” In terms of attacks per head of population, London is now the acid attack capital of the world, with a 74 per cent rise...
