WASHINGTON—A White House official says President Barack Obama on Monday will appoint a new energy secretary and new head of the Environmental Protection Agency. Obama is nominating MIT scientist Ernest Moniz to head the Energy Department and EPA veteran Gina McCarthy to run the environmental agency. She currently serves as EPA's assistant administrator for air and radiation. Obama will announce the nominations during a White House ceremony Monday morning. Both posts require Senate confirmation.

"Obama comes from a community organizer background where it's us against them. But that's not who we are. And that's not the position the leader of our Nation should take." – Dr. Benjamin Carson Obama appears to be tormented man is filled with resentment, anger, and disdain for anyone of an opinion or view other than his. He acts in the most hateful, spiteful, malevolent, vindictive ways in order to manipulate and maintain power and control over others. Perhaps, because, as a child, he grew up harboring an abiding bitterness toward the U.S. that was instilled in him by his...

The following is an e-mail I have received in reference to an order I placed for two 16 round magazines for my S&W SD9VE 9mm handgun. This has confirmed my suspicions that this administration is involved once again with bypassing Congress and effecting gun control on it's own by instructing that funds be frozen to weapons and ammo purchases. There seems to be nothing available nationwide and I think it's for the same reason. The administration is using backdoor methods to halt further sales of ammo and weapons. From Personal Choice Outfitters: ----------------------------------------------------- You are receiving this email because you...

In a closing commentary on Wednesday, Hardball's Chris Matthews ranted that opposing gun control could lead to the assassination of a future American president or politician. Matthews fumed that he supports new restrictions because "the next mass shooter could well emerge out of this pack" of the "politically nutty." He lobbied, "Check the shooters of John F. Kennedy and Jerry Ford, who got out twice. Look at the men that shot Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King and Malcolm X and George Wallace. They all had political motives and they all had guns." In the very next sentence, Matthews sneered,...

The hyperbole, the high and mighty discussions, the knee-jerk legislative reactions surrounding the gun debate (assault on the Second Amendment) these past few months have been absolutely crazy, shortsighted, misinformed, misdirected, unconscionable and potentially dangerous. There are moves in the works to require every gun owner in New York state to carry 1 million dollars worth of liability insurance estimated to cost between $1,600 to $2,000 annually, which would mainly prevent the poor and struggling families from having access to guns for self-defense. ... A lot of veterans, hundreds perhaps thousands, are receiving letters that they cannot own or process...

(CNSNews.com) - Colin Goddard, who was shot several times in the Virginia Tech shooting massacre and now works as assistant director of federal legislation for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said Friday that college campuses are “one of the safest places you can be in this country.” “College campuses are actually one of the safest places you can be in this country. People aged between 18 and 24 who live on college campuses are one of the constituencies that are least likely to ever get hit by bullet, and if you live anywhere else but a campus, that...

Forget that The Daily Caller is reporting Progressive USA’s claim that NRA donated $10,000 to Debbie Halvorson, and that the contender for the Congressional seat vacated by disgraced anti-gun head case Jesse Jackson Jr. calls for “Universal Background Checks and registration of all firearms … Making sure that background checks work so people do not fall through the cracks in the National Data Base [and] Ending the Gun Show loophole” on her campaign website. Those who play political chess will tell us Halvorson opposes banning semi-autos and some such, while hard-liners will point out the prospective ban is likely to...

The ground war over gun control after the Newtown, Conn. massacre has begun. Across the country, members of Congress are being hit with grassroots campaigns and ads aimed at pushing them to one side or the other in the current debate over gun violence. On Friday, the remnants of President Obama’s reelection campaign will hold its first “Day Of Action” since the November election, rallying its millions of supporters to join the call for gun control legislation at grassroots events nationwide[snip] The National Rifle Association is targeting several members with ads of its own, running (full page news paper…) spots…….

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said that he has accepted a new disclaimer from President Obama’s defense secretary nominee Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) disavowing one of his many offensive statements about the state of Israel. Graham told “Fox News Sunday” that he received a new letter from the beleaguered nominee in which Hagel claimed he “did not recall” the odious statement-- allegedly made during a speech at Rutgers University in 2007-- in which he argued that the State Department is controlled by the Israeli Foreign Minister’s office. “Well, if in fact that’s true, that would end the matter,” Graham said, adding, “I...

I went to a local gun show yesterday and was just amazed. To begin with the line was extremely long, everyone that I spoke to had the same thought on their mind and that was to spend money at the show.... What amazed me was the price of ammo, I had to pay twice as much for ammo this time then I did back in November. SO here is my thought to the title of this post. We all have read about the billions of rounds of ammo that the gov't has been buying over the past months. What a...

The prospect of four more years of Barack Obama in the White House has caused several conservative voices (among them, The Wall Street Journal’s Daniel Henninger, Fox News commentator Charles Krauthammer, and noted Ronald Reagan scholar Paul Kengor) to opine that President Obama’s second term portends the passing of the Reagan era, the reversal of his pro-growth policies and the attempted burial of Reagan’s credo, “government is the problem.” None of this is news. It is a given that Obama and his fellow progressives reject Reagan’s values and philosophy. They will continue to try to expand government. There is, however,...

CHANTILLY, Va. — The largest gun show in the D.C. area has raised its admission fee to help bankroll its fight against President Obama’s push for tighter firearm restrictions. Thousands of gun enthusiasts are descending upon the “Nation’s Gun Show” at the Dulles Expo Center this weekend and, for the first time in five years, are being greeted with a higher cost of entry as the gun rights community wages a tough, and costly, campaign to stop Obama and Congress from stiffening certain gun laws. “Admission has gone up because we are using the money to fight so you can...

I really couldn't care less if Obama shot skeet or not. The photo released by the White House shows that this is probably the first time this man has ever fired a shotgun, much less shot a round of skeet. However, it does show something blatantly obvious - he doesn't appear to be standing at a shooting station at the Camp David skeet range. Below is a photo from the UK Daily Mail of the Camp David skeet range. See any differences? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/02/02/article-2272417-174E1F37000005DC-87_634x446.jpg

President Obama Remarks on Gun Control

Yet another student has been suspended for having something that represents a gun, but isn’t actually anything like a real gun. This time, Daniel McClaine, Jr., a freshman at Poston Butte High School in Tan Valley, Arizona, made the mistake of setting a picture of a gun as the desktop background on his school-issued computer. The picture shows an AK-47 lying on a flag, reports KNXV-TV. The gun isn’t his, McClaine assured the ABC affiliate in Phoenix. He found it on the Internet and liked it, partly because he is interested in serving in the military after graduation. A teacher...

by John HillStand With ArizonaWashington D.C. politicians and their allies in the mainstream media have frantically been pushing tough new restrictions on guns and ammo magazines, trying to manipulate public opinion in the wake of the Newtown, CT school massacre. But the Sheriff of the 4th largest county in the United States has a message for them: not in my county. Maricopa County Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio told a local radio host the federal government is “going to have problem” if they expect him to confiscate guns from private citizens. Arpaio told Mike Broomhead of KFYI Radio in Phoenix, Ariz. that...

An excerpt from an interview with a President in the future... Amid conservative anger over the President's proposals to curb religious violence, the President says he sometimes attends Church. Asked if he ever attends Church, the President said he did so occasionally when visitors to his retreat were interested in that sort of thing. "Up at Camp David, we do service all the time," he said. "And I have a profound respect for the traditions of religion that trace back in this country for generations." "And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake". The...
