Former Vice President Joe Biden hasn’t decided to run for president in 2020. But he’s decided that he’s “not going to decide not to run.” Got it? The 74-year-old Democrat offered a somewhat confusing take on his political future in a series of new interviews ahead of the release of his memoir, “Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose.” But one thing is clear: Biden thinks he’s the right man to lead the nation. Biden tells InStyle magazine that “this moment in American history sort of fits into my wheelhouse and the strengths I have.” He cited...

In the wake of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, which left one dead and at least 38 injured, many members of the national media were quick to blame the “Unite the Right” rally attendees for the outbreak of street warfare between “alt-right” and “alt-left” protesters. But according to the ACLU and reporters covering the rally, the violence escalated due to what many believe was an intentional lack of police oversight, with the blame aimed squarely at Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe. “The police actually allowed us to square off against each other,” one counter-protester told CNN. “There were fights, and the...

NEW YORK (CNN) – President Obama spoke Wednesday at the U.N. General Assembly as he tackles a range of thorny international issues with his counterparts. Obama said Iran and North Korea “must be held accountable” if they continue to ignore international nuclear weapons treaties. Iran recently reiterated its unwillingness to give up its nuclear program, which the United States and other Western nations fear is being used to develop nuclear weapons. Iran insists its program is strictly for civilian power. U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice said she didn’t expect a direct meeting between Obama and Iran’s president, Mahmoud...

Judicial Watch today released more than 35 pages of emails former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin revealing that Abedin advised Clinton aide and frequent companion Monica Hanley that it was “very important†to go over phone calls with Clinton because the former Secretary of State was “often confused.†The emails, from Abedin’s “Huma@clintonemail.com†address, also reveal repeated security breaches, with the Secretary’s schedule and movements being sent and received through Abedin’s non-governmental and unsecured Clinton server account. The emails document requests for special State Department treatment for a Clinton Foundation associate and Abedin’s mother, a controversial...

In case you missed it -- and you probably did, by design -- the Democrats running for president debated in Iowa on Saturday night. Bernie Sanders once again declined to address the issue of the expanding federal investigation into Hillary Clinton's improper, unsecure, national security-compromising email scheme, confirming that he has no serious intention of winning the nomination. Martin O'Malley is a polling asterisk. So these debates can only hurt the party's presumptive nominee, aside from perhaps giving her a few reps, which is why the next debate is slated for the Saturday before Christmas. past and present assessments of...

Michelle Obama gave a candid view Saturday of the challenges and emotional toll of being the country’s first black first lady. Obama, speaking to graduates at Tuskegee University in Alabama, described insensitive media questions and derogatory remarks from political pundits that she said have kept her up at night. “You might remember the on-stage celebratory fist bump between me and my husband after a primary win that was referred to as a ‘terrorist fist jab,’ ” she said.

Initial police investigations into a downtown Savannah street fight on Saturday night appear not to support allegations by two Forsyth County men that they and their families suffered an unprovoked attack and beating. The victims themselves may not be much help, as their retelling of the fracas — on Facebook, then on an Atlanta TV station and then to the Savannah Morning News — has changed since the event occurred. Detectives on Tuesday released video of the River Street altercation in hope of identifying other participants so they can be interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. Metro Atlanta man’s...

First Lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to address the combined high school graduating class of the Topeka, KS school district next month and some of the students are upset about it. One student, 18 year old Taylor Gifford, began a petition to ask Mrs. Obama not to speak because there would be limited seating for family and friends. Gifford's petition has already gotten 1200 signatures.

It is understandable if the non-Israeli reader finds it hard to follow the changes that have been taking place daily in the lists of Israeli political parties. Arutz Sheva has decided to try to set the reader straight. First, the established – well, sort of established – parties. Likud-Yisrael Beytenu: The two parties, one nationalist and the other originally Russian immigrant nationalist, have joined ranks. This is a political move, but may also signal that the Russians, who have taken their place in Israeli life, don't feel the need for their own party anymore. The joint list has still to...

Here we go again. Joel Osteen is in the news once again, this time for saying that Mormonism is just another form of Christianity. Osteen, pastor of “America’s largest church,” as the media repeat over and over, was speaking to The Washington Times in an interview that covered a variety of issues. It was the quintessential Joel on display. Speaking to the newspaper on Monday, Osteen said, “I see faith in America at an all-time high.” His comments came just as a major research project detailed a significant loss of vitality in America’s Christian congregations. That loss of vitality can...

As WND reported, radio host Rush Limbaugh raised an intriguing question on the air: "Where are all of Obama's former girlfriends?" In referring to past email inquiries he received on this subject, Limbaugh continued, "They are interesting because those people haven't surfaced. There aren't any ex-girlfriends that have admitted it." In fact, I wrote about this question in my book, "Deconstructing Obama," and on these pages last year. As the likely source of these rumors, I thought I might clarify them, at least to the degree they can be clarified. As it happens, Obama inadvertently raised the girlfriend issue himself...

The number of Obama supporters seems inversely related to his time in office. Many wonder what happened to "The One We Are Waiting For." Obama assumed office in difficult economic times. After a couple of years of excuses -- which included "the problems were worse than we knew" and the generic, all-purpose "it's Bush's fault" -- Obama now owns the original problems and new ones of his own doing. An incomplete report card on his "accomplishments" would include the following: the economy worsened discretionary military efforts ("kinetic" if you prefer) increased an unpopular, flawed health care plan was forced on...
