Yoel Roth, who no longer works at Twitter, claims that satire is dangerous and that Libs of TikTok and The Babylon Bee are dangerous. Roth was intimately involved in the effort to censor the New York Post’s exclusive stories on Hunter Biden’s shady foreign business dealings ahead of the 2020 election. Twitter prevented users from sharing the story publicly and from privately messaging the link to other users. Mainstream publications, including the Washington Post and the New York Times, later confirmed the authenticity of much of the content derived from the computer, which was abandoned at a Delaware repair shop...

There are economic good times and economic bad times. When times get tough and money's tight, it's good to have Linux on your PC. 1. The OS and Apps Are Free 2. Your Current PC Will Run for Longer Running Linux means you can expect to use the computer for as long as you want. Rather than running into the artificial limitation of a company declaring your machine end of life and unsupported, you know you will receive free updates until your computer physically falls apart or becomes too underpowered to do what you need it to do. This makes...

Pepsi tapped into a TikTok trend with a new campaign featuring actor Lindsay Lohan promoting “pilk,” or “dirty milk” an uncommon combination of soda and milk that’s been baffling consumers on TikTok in recent months — though its roots go back decades. Pepsi launched the Christmas-themed campaign on Thursday with the hashtag #PilkandCookies. The ad features Lohan, who is working on a Hollywood comeback with her Netflix rom-com Falling for Christmas, in which the former child actor is making her first lead performance in nearly 10 years following legal trouble around multiple DUIs. In a statement Thursday morning, Pepsi Chief...

The former head of trust and safety at Twitter said it was a mistake for the platform to censor a story about Hunter Biden's laptop ahead of the 2020 election. Yoel Roth, who resigned from Twitter following Elon Musk's takeover, was interviewed Tuesday by journalist Kara Swisher in his first public appearance since his departure from the company on November 10. In October 2020, less than a month before the election, the New York Post published a story that claimed to contain emails retrieved from a laptop that belonged to President Joe Biden's son Hunter. Twitter initially suppressed distribution of...

It’s been a while since we last wrote about Mark Ruffalo, not because he’s gotten any smarter or better with his tweets, he’s just not crossed our radar. That being said, his tweet calling to make Twitter a public utility UNDER governmental supervision is absolutely Twitchy-worthy. Not to mention the thousands and thousands of people dragging him. Tell us you’re completely out-of-touch with reality without really telling us, Mark. Mark Ruffalo @MarkRuffalo As a worldwide “public square,” this app should be heavily regulated for misinformation & spamming by hostile interests. If Elon can’t do that with his “company,” it should...

Lincoln Laboratory’s TeraByte InfraRed Delivery system sent data from a satellite to Earth at 100 Gbps — a rate that will transform future science missions. In May 2022, the TeraByte InfraRed Delivery (TBIRD) payload onboard a small CubeSat satellite was launched into orbit 300 miles above Earth's surface. Since then, TBIRD has delivered terabytes of data at record-breaking rates of up to 100 gigabits per second — 100 times faster than the fastest internet speeds in most cities — via an optical communication link to a ground-based receiver in California. This data rate is more than 1,000 times higher than...

While we await Elon Musk’s promised release of the “Twitter Files,” detailing the 2020 censorship of the New York Post, he has been busy fending off threats to destroy his new $44 billion acquisition unless he drops his commitment to free speech. He tweeted a video Wednesday afternoon of Apple’s Cupertino, Calif., headquarters, where he was strolling around the HQ pond in conversation with Apple CEO Tim Cook, whom he has accused of threatening to drop Twitter from the App Store. **SNIP** Colluding with FBI This was election interference. Elon Musk seems to have ditched his Twitter feud with Apple after a stroll around Apple headquarters with the iPhone maker's chief, Tim Cook. "Thanks @tim_cook for taking me around Apple's beautiful HQ," Musk tweeted. Musk had complained about Apple on Twitter this week, when he claimed Apple had threatening to boot the app from the App Store without explaining why. He also complained that Apple had pulled most of its advertising from Twitter, and questioning whether Apple "hated free speech in America". However, the meeting with Tim Cook seems to have defused the situation. "Good conversation. Among other things,...

The coronal hole is a gigantic solar gulf stretching across the sun’s center. Coronal holes are areas in the sun's upper atmosphere where our star's electrified gas (or plasma) is less hot and dense than in other regions, which makes them appear black in contrast. Around these holes, the sun's magnetic field lines, instead of looping back in on themselves, point outward into space, beaming solar material outwards at up to 1.8 million mph (2.9 million km/h)... This barrage of energetic solar debris, mostly consisting of electrons, protons and alpha particles, is absorbed by Earth’s magnetic field, which becomes compressed, triggering...

A serial rapist is looking for love online, according to a woman floored by what popped up on a dating app. Amber Williams said it is unmistakably Dominic Yocco, who FOX 2 warned you about this past May. We reported on how Yocco was around other minors at a party, which was a violation of his bond at the time, as he was fighting serial rape charges. A jury then convicted him in September on 15 counts of rape and sodomy involving girls ages 14–16.

At the end of October, Jeep brand President Christian Meunier told Motor Trend that Jeep was in search of just the right name for the battery-electric Wagoneer S. That contest is called Name the New Wagoneer and it is now official. All one has to do is head to the website, enter a few identifying details, enter a name of 50 characters or less, and submit it to...
