Jen Gennai, head of Google’s “Responsible Innovation” team, advised Democrats “to make sure all the anti-corporate rhetoric stays rhetoric. They need to keep in mind that we are with them 100 percent in their goal to oust Trump and will do everything in our power to assure that this effort succeeds.” “Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google,” Gennai complained. “And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged...

Twitter will add warning labels to tweets from world leaders that break its rules following years of public criticism and uncertainty around contentious posts from Donald Trump and other politicians. On Thursday, the San Francisco-based company introduced a new policy for tweets from well known government officials that violate its policies on abuse, harassment, and violent threats. Instead of removing the violative posts, it will put them behind a warning notice. That notice will explain that a tweet was found to be in violation of Twitter’s policies, but has been allowed to remain on the platform because the company believes...

VIDEO A knitting and crochet website, Ravelry, is suffering from extreme Trump Derangement Syndrome with the result that they have banned anybody who posts anything favorable about Donald Trump. Note that this is not a general ban on political discussion. If you upload a project of knitted socks with hammer and sickle designs or post favorably about Elizabeth Warren, that is permissible. Only posting favorably about the Big Bad Orange Man is taboo there. I also analyze the genesis of this whole TDS outbreak on a knitting site which goes back to January due to the Social Justice Warriors going...

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, chair of the House Financial Services Committee, on Tuesday requested that Facebook pause its development of Libra, an upcoming cryptocurrency that the company plans to release in 2020. “Given the company’s troubled past, I am requesting that Facebook agree to a moratorium on any movement forward on developing a cryptocurrency until Congress and regulators have the opportunity to examine these issues and take action,” Waters said in a statement on Tuesday. Facebook and a consortium of partners on Tuesday unveiled Libra, its much-awaited blockchain project that the company has been working on over the past year....

VIDEO Poppy Harlow disgraced the profession of journalism by advocating strongly in favor of censorship on YouTube. Of course, she wants a ban on Stephen Crowder's channel and other channels that just so happen to be conservative leaning. You never hear her call for a ban on any leftwing videos, no matter how offensive they might be.

People come to Pinterest for all kinds of things. But apparently, there's one thing users won't find on the app -- and that's tolerance. It was supposed to be a harmless site, a place for swapping recipes and planning kitchen remodels. Now we know: even the most innocuous platforms aren't immune from Big Tech's censorship. And if that's the case, conservatives are in trouble. Because the problem just got a whole lot worse than we thought. Eric Cochran was an employee of Pinterest, a software engineer. Like a lot of conservatives in the online world, he kept his views to...

For some weird reason I can't sign in to YouTube via my Chrome Browser. In fact I never have to sign in because it reads my information automatically. However, this time I was prompted to sign in but when I click to sign in, I get an error message. How can I sign in. I can access my YouTube account via IE browser but I rarely use that. I need to sign in via chrome. I can't figure out why I am being blocked when I use Chrome.

VIDEO YouTube's Rewind 2018 turned out to be such an incredible disaster that it quickly became that platform's most disliked video of all time. So this year it is expected that YouTube will avoid the mistake of featuring celebrities and concentrate more on YouTubers themselves. However, the problem is if they do that how do they ignore prominent YouTubers such as PewDiePie and Logan Paul who they have very noticeably shunned last year? In addition, the biggest controversy by far this year is the demonetization of Steven Crowder's Louder With Crowder, not for violating any specific policies but because someone...

I've used a computer running Windows 7 to file our federal taxes for several years. Microsoft will stop support and security updates on January 14, 2020. We always file as soon as we get all tax forms (usually early February). Wondering if we would be safe doing the same one more time. Thoughts?

Saturday afternoon, poolside. Traeger was smoking away. Family was in the pool. I was manning the Traeger and got a phone call from my brother. We spoke and I automatically put the phone in my pocket. My swimsuit pocket. Yeah, you know what happened next. Decided to take a dip. I hit the water took a lap. That was when I realized the phone was still in my pocket. Took it out, took it out of the case, dried it off and plunged it into a bag of rice. Wait 36 hours one website said. Today: Phone works with no...

On April 10, 2018, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz grilled Facebook Chairman and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg over the social media platform’s content moderation policies. Citing examples of Facebook censoring pro-conservative accounts and articles, Sen. Cruz explained to Zuckerberg, “to a great many Americans, that appears to be a pervasive pattern of political bias.” Sen. Ted Cruz then pressed the Facebook chairman on whether his organization was a “neutral public forum,” arguing that neutrality is necessary to enjoy the protections guaranteed by Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act. A willingness to consider modifying Section 230 to weaken protections enjoyed by...
