Free speech took a whacking Thursday as Facebook cited its policies against “dangerous individuals and organizations” to ban such figures as Alex Jones, Laura Loomer, Louis Farrakhan, Milo Yiannopoulos and several other extremists from the site. They were purged from Facebook-owned Instagram, and their affiliated fan pages will also be shuttered in what the Wall Street Journal called the company’s “most sweeping” action “yet against online provocateurs.” Facebook was within its rights to evict the accounts, even if they’ve done nothing criminal. It’s Facebook’s house, after all, and because the government isn’t involved it’s not a First Amendment issue. But...

Hillary Clinton on Wednesday night suggested that if the Justice Department was going to let Russia get away with interfering in the 2016 presidential election, it might be OK if one of the 2020 Democratic candidates enlisted China for help. The 2016 Democratic presidential candidate offered a seemingly tongue-in-cheek hypothetical to Rachel Maddow on her MSNBC show. “Imagine, Rachel, that you had one of the Democratic nominees for 2020 on your show, and that person said, you know, the only other adversary of ours who is anywhere near as good as the Russians is China,” Clinton told Maddow. “So why...

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was arrested by UK police and is expected to be turned over to US authorities in the near future. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton professed herself “pleased that this international villain will finally get what he deserves for saddling the world with Donald Trump as the US president. His role in invading my privacy and publishing emails that I went to great efforts to conceal sabotaged my assured election as the 45th president of the United States.” Clinton predicted that Assange’s claim that “the ruled have a right to know what their governments are doing...

President Donald Trump said Friday the United States should not nationalize its 5G network and said private companies should move quickly to deploy the faster next-generation network. “In the United States our approach is private-sector driven and private-sector led. The government doesn’t have to spend lots of money,” Trump said. “Leading through the government, it won’t be nearly as good, nearly as fast.” The White House mulled the idea of nationalizing the 5G network for more than a year. In March Politico reported that Trump’s reelection campaign supported a government role in managing the 5G networks even as White House...

In the brouhaha of his arrest, will Time get to tell the tawdry tale? Failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has done far worse to Julian Assange than what the UK police did when they yanked him out of his Ecuadorian Embassy hideaway of seven years yesterday. Without proof of any kind, without a trial, Clinton has accused the organization Assange founded of playing “a dangerous role” in her 2016 electoral defeat.

It's a strange feeling to share this aspect of my life. I'm taking a break to go back to school, but here's a peek into the part of my life I've kept hidden from the internet for many years. I was asked if I wanted to film my last mission and use it as an opportunity to explain "Multi-Domain Operations" to the public. After much consideration, I decided that this topic (especially the cyber-domain issue) was important and chose to help inform the public. My mission was to participate in a missile and torpedo engagement exercise at Pacific Missile Range...

Federal prosecutors filed charges Monday against a woman carrying Chinese passports whom they allege illegally entered President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Florida in late March. The woman, Yujing Zhang, initially gained access to the property on March 30 through a miscommunication with members of Mar-a-Lago security, according to the complaint. Trump was staying at Mar-a-Lago on that date, though he was not on the property at the time Zhang's alleged visit occurred. After she was detained, US Secret Service agents searched multiple electronic devices she was carrying, including four cell phones, a laptop computer, an external "hard drive type"...

I feel like I am beating a dead horse because I am. Facebook is in one hell of a mess. It never was a good platform for me and many others that I know. That's because it is always censoring those who are of a conservative bent and is constantly changing its algorithms on what it will or will not publish. Add to this the fact that Facebook is spying on you through some major loophole in the privacy law to the point of following you around the Internet and dishing up ads based on what it sees you searching...

VIDEO After the euphoria of my DUmmie FUnnies channel bursting through the 1000 subs count this morning, I realized there was still the YPP review process it has to go through. From what I have read and heard, although this review is supposed to take only about a month, it often goes for much longer. Therefore I have made a suggestion in this video on how to speed up the process. Basically it is that YouTube should tap into a very available pool of volunteers to quickly move the review process along. This would both lower the heavy review work...

Well, I just deleted my Twitter and Instagram accounts. Never got a single bite on Instagram so that one I'm not concerned about. Twitter, however, finally crossed the line when they made it impossible to block their advertising and suggestions they lined both sides of the posting column with and when they chased the creator of "Hide Twitter Guff" into hiding I finally said enough is enough and pulled my account. I'll miss that one because of the weather updates I would get. I still got Facebook for the time being, mostly because I admin a weather group for the...

Less than a year after raising $20.5 million, OJO Labs is at it again with a $45 million Series C. LiveOak Venture Partners, Realogy Holdings Corporation, Royal Bank of Canada, and Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures participated in the round, which will be largely used for expanding its data science, engineering and product teams, as well as for product development.
