In August of 2017 there were 446 open jobs that related to blockchain, and in the same month of this year, that number surged to 1,775. The rise in open positions has occurred...

So that's Big Tech, advancing little minds and big lies--and inviting big destruction With perhaps the most significant midterm election in decades nigh, big tech’s censorship of conservatives has kicked into high gear. And while Facebook’s recent purge of right-leaning pages is obvious and has made news, perhaps just as destructive is the stealth censorship. A good example may be the report of WordPress’ “statistics shadowbanning” of Whatfinger News. Whatfinger is an increasingly popular news aggregator that is run by military veterans; it’s like a non-establishment version of Drudge, only more comprehensive, more conservative, and more interesting.

Older-but-wiser principal named Edwina Educator apologizes for dumb decisions she made when running a big public school. Only three-minutes long, this little video tells you everything you need to know about the public school system. Please share. ------------------------------------------------------------- I made it 6 years ago. The primary purpose was to test new video software called Xtranormal. You first type your script, then you can have characters move around and speak your words as you see in this video. Quite remarkable. Some of you would enjoy experimenting with it. Unfortunately Xtranormal, which was free, is dormant. Other options are now available but...

Effective immediately I won't be using the free image hosting service called imgbb.com. Over the last 2 weeks I've noticed a HUGE increase in pop-up ads in my lower right hand corner of my monitor (whether I'm online or not all), many ads seem legitimate software upgrade offers, but others are invitations to date various women of Asian countries. These small pop-up ads all have the source listed as ibb.co, which I've discovered is originating from imgbb.com. With all of my image posts I may be spreading this same '3rd Party Cookie' advertisements to my fellow FReeper's, so I've decided...

I'm trying to help out a gentleman who told me that at one time his HP all-in-one machine (OfficePro 8710) could fax out wirelessly. Not being up to the very latest technology (the guy tells me oh, no problem, it's wireless) I wonder where the interface to the phone network is? Does HP operate a private interface to the phone network on the internet to support its all-in-one machines? He says no, the machine was not connected to a phone line. Is he pulling my leg? Misremembering? I can't find anything in the manual explaining how it happens.

While insisting that he is “not a pro-regulation kind of person,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the free market has failed to provide adequate protections for privacy, and he believes it is time for the government to step in. Here’s what you need to know During an interview on HBO’s “Vice News Tonight,” which aired on Tuesday, Cook said: I’m not a pro-regulation kind of person. I believe in the free market deeply. … But I think you have to recognize when the free market doesn’t produce the result that’s great for society. You have to ask yourself: What...

President Donald Trump has agreed to a limited investigation of Dr. Ford's allegations against Judge Kavanaugh. An investigation of this type should compile Dr. Ford's recent history, including the wiping of her social media accounts in a professional and thorough manner. The FBI should have access to national assets that record and store massive amounts of data on the Internet, continuously. It should be able to determine what was on the Internet about Dr. Ford, and what was wiped by who, when. Such information would go a long way in understanding how credible Dr. Ford's allegations are. This seems an...

Humans have figured out lots of ways to shape metal -- casting it with a mold, stamping it, drilling holes and milling surfaces in a machine shop, even zapping it with a laser. Well, now you can add a new method: 3D printing. A number of companies offer metal 3D printing, which creates products and components layer by layer with a computer-controlled system tracing its lineage to ordinary inkjet printers. But on Monday, printing giant HP announced it's entered the market with the ambition to dramatically lower prices, courtesy of a $400,000 product called the Metal Jet. "We're really going...
