Today at noon, FReepers of the DC Chapter left their barracks to oppose Code Pink and associated leftist malcontents. About 30 leftists had gathered to protest Fox News at the Fox office near Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Starting the thread now & will add to later. Our California cousins, also known as FReepers in the San Francisco area, are invited to add comments to this thread about their activities in the West Coast theatre of operations in opposition to the Code Pinkos attack on the SF Fox office. Completely outclassing the leftists was a gathering of eagles. Intrepid FReepers...

THURSDAY, APRIL 3: PROTEST FOX NEWS CHANNEL'S WAR COVERAGE Fox News Channel is the most pro-war television station in the United States. While claiming to be “fair and balanced”, Fox actually makes no attempt to be either one. Rather than reporting the news, Fox cheerleads for the Pentagon. Rather than reporting the reality of the war in Iraq, Fox glorifies the warriors and underplays the human cost of war. Fox has also aggressively attacked the peace movement. In just the last few days, Fox’s Bill O’Reilly proposed that anti-war protesters be arrested as terrorists, and Fox made fun of peace...

I made a spur of the moment decision to Freep the Anti-America March as I was waiting to leave Innsbrook Pavillion after the Rally for America. 7,000 Americans came together there, sang together and prayed for our leaders, our courageous soldiers and, yes, our enemies. The anti-war folks had a full weekend. http://richmond.indymedia.org/ On Saturday, after their workshops and street theatre classes they were going to party all night. That meant they couldn’t start the drum circle going in Monroe Park until the hangovers had dissipated a bit, around 4 p.m. or so. Then, they would tackle the issues of...

Veteran war reporter Robert Fisk tours the Baghdad hospital to see thewounded after a devastating night of air strikesby Robert Fisk in Baghdad, London IndependentMarch 23rd, 2003 Donald Rumsfeld says the American attack on Baghdad is "as targeted an aircampaign as has ever existed" but he should not try telling that tofive-year-old Doha Suheil. She looked at me yesterday morning, drip feedattached to her nose, a deep frown over her small face as she tried vainlyto move the left side of her body. The cruise missile that exploded close toher home in the Radwaniyeh suburb of Baghdad blasted shrapnel into...

Code PinkoBy Jean PearceFrontPageMagazine.com | March 26, 2003 Like any other group, Communists come in a lot of shapes, sizes and colors. This time they’re wearing pink, they’re on the nightly news, and more than anything, they want the mothers and grandmothers of America to identify with them. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think the leaders of the women’s anti-war group Code Pink got lost on their way to the carpool line. Since October, these hot pink-clad "marching moms" have been spinning the same tale to reporters from coast to coast, the one about how concern for their...

NOW is ..so, like…Then by Jennifer King, Managing Editor March 12, 2003 "The Heretical Housewife" If there was a way to further prove NOW’s complete and total disconnect from most mainstream American women’s lives, this past weekend clinched it. The post-menopausal, stringy-haired, thin-lipped angry radicals who make up what’s left of NOW’s fading membership joined forces with a group of hippies, yippies and wannabes called “Code Pink” in order to march in our nation’s capital against the looming war with Iraq. Gillette would have been a good sponsor of this rally, which sported more facial (and other where) hair than...

The women in Washington D.C. and San Francisco who protested the impending war with Iraq, in honor of International Women’s Day, are a disgrace to all women. They claim to be progressive, when in fact, they are regressive, marching backwards against the tide of history. The silly names of their organizations, “Code Pink” and “Women in Black,” are a case in point. For some unknown reason, the “Code Pink” ladies decided that pink is a symbol of oppression, so they dressed up like walking Pepto-Bismol bottles. Their ridiculous chanting of “Bush says Code Red; we say Code Pink” did little...

Members of the DC Chapter of Free Republic are conducting a surprise FReep of the March for Peace organized by NOW and the Code Pink Ladies and it is going on as I type. The Now and Code Pink Ladies will be joined by Raelian women (and Raelian men in touch with their feminine side) who plan a disrobing ceremony in front of the White House. Reports from the scene tell me that there's a bunch of Howard Stern fans who came to the White House today for the unveiling. Positioned on the North side of Lafayette Park, inside the...

In Washington, several thousand people rallied at a park not far from the White House as part of International Women's Day. The event was organized by the group CodePink, which took its name as a protest against the government's color-coded terror alert system. District of Columbia police and organizers estimated the crowd at between 4,000 and 10,000 people. Later in the afternoon, 25 protesters were arrested on charges of crossing a police line in front of the White House. "We gave them three warnings, we gave them an opportunity to leave," said Sgt. Scott Fear, a spokesman for the United...

About 1,000 anti-war protesters slowed traffic Wednesday night as they lined the Lake Street bridge over the Mississippi River. Though the bridge is the site of weekly protests against a possible war with Iraq, the event turned out a larger-than-usual number of protesters. Many said they felt it was especially important to show up to oppose what they see as President Bush's declaration of war in Tuesday night's State of the Union address.
