Bi-Coastal FReep Opportunity to Counter Left Attacks on Fox

THURSDAY, APRIL 3: PROTEST FOX NEWS CHANNEL'S WAR COVERAGE

Fox News Channel is the most pro-war television station in the United States. While claiming to be “fair and balanced”, Fox actually makes no attempt to be either one. Rather than reporting the news, Fox cheerleads for the Pentagon. Rather than reporting the reality of the war in Iraq, Fox glorifies the warriors and underplays the human cost of war.

Fox has also aggressively attacked the peace movement. In just the last few days, Fox’s Bill O’Reilly proposed that anti-war protesters be arrested as terrorists, and Fox made fun of peace activists as they staged a die-in in New York City. This is not journalism, it is propaganda.

CALL TO ACTION

Join Global Exchange, CodePink, and Media Alliance in organizing protests outside of Fox affiliates throughout the country. Insist that Fox report the reality of war, including information and in-depth stories about civilian and military casualties. Also insist that Fox News Channel balance its coverage by interviewing people who oppose the U.S. war policy.

The DC Chapter will be FReeping this protest of Fox News by the leftists.

Originally, this was to be a stealth FReep. However, our co-leader Kristinn thought that we should post this in hopes of drawing more people to the DC noon FReep & also seeing if SF area FReepers could deploy against the leftists there.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

Fox made fun of peace activists as they staged a die-in in New York City

Which they probably hated most of all. The more the "peace" movement is made fun of, the less effective they will be.

Fox has also aggressively attacked the peace movement.

So has 70% of the American public.
In a free market system, the public supports what it wants. In this case, they've made FOX #1 for news.
The Democrat anarchists are a small minority. Why should FOX cave to a small irrelevant facist interest group?
FOX will report, let the public, not a bunch of losers, decide.

That would lose them viewers.
I would change the channel until the facist anti-Americans are done spewing their venom.

Why don't these people ever protest the dictators that cause the atrocities?

The left's idea of "fair and balanced" seems to be a 50/50 split between journalists who do vs. do not want America to be destroyed.

Fox = America's News Network (which is why the anti-american protesters don't like it)

These commie bozos (apologies to all conservative clowns) obviously do not watch FOX. H&C and Greta interview both sides nightly. My TV probably won't survive another Syrian Ambassador interview.

Think of ABC as the counterbalance to Fox. Keep switching channels and you'll have your perfect world.

Because they admire that sort of thing.

Bumping this to SF area FReepers who attended recent support the troops rally.

Hoping that one or more of you have ping lists of SF area FReepers & would kindly alert all FReepers and other patriots who might attend the event in SF.

Kristinn, DC Chapter co-leader, with his usual wit & flare for irony, suggests that FReepers focus on the fact that the peaceniks (i.e., not the U.S. military) are in a quagmire.

Some possible slogans that I thought of are as follows:

FOX RATINGS HIGHER
PEACENIKS QUAGMIRE

FOX ROCKS
CODE PINK STINKS

FOX RULES
LEFT ARE FOOLS

FOX IS FAIR
LEFT IN DESPAIR

You can substitute Code Pink or other left group for "LEFT" above.

Thanks for the SF bump 3 minutes before my request.

You're fast and vigilant, both great qualities to help preserve our country!

I've been watching Fox quite a bit. They definitely seem biased to me. I caught them in one outright "cheerleading" error, when they repeated reported early that the chemical factory that was discovered was a "huge chemical weapons factory". Other networks were correctly reporting that it was a factory, but that there was no evidence that it was producting chemical weapons.

Which is not to say that other outlets are not biased. What I've found is that I need to watch both CNN and Fox to get the true story.

But think of all the fun we'll be missing. Just like Hannity ripping into that idiot the other night. It was just TOO funny. Maybe Fox could do a segment everyday with some of these idiots and we could all get our dose of daily humor.

Communists-backed by the World People's Party and the American People's Party, with healthy donations from North Korea and Iraq (documented-do a Google search on United for Peace and A.N.S.W.E.R.)
