SOMETIMES you see a man with a short haircut, athletic build and a military bearing, and you think to yourself, "I bet that man is a Marine." With Major Pain, there is no question. You know he is a Marine. Which makes him an ideal wingman for me when it's time to confront Code Pink and friends about their rude and disrespectful treatment of our soldiers outside Walter Reed Army Hospital. SMASH and Major Pain survey the field of battle There are about a dozen or so protesters there on Friday night. On any given evening, one or two of...

Photos by Plea Deal and [Mrs] Trooprally WASHINGTON, DC, 9/08/06-- Two officers in full camo uniforms waved enthusiastically as their vehicle exited Walter Reed Army Medical Center to be greeted by our troop-support rally spread over the four corners of the gates. We had arrived and had set up our displays while they were inside the hospital visiting wounded members of their unit. Seeing the DC Chapter's huge banners and dozens of U.S. flags, they wheeled their vehicle back around and stopped at the northwest corner to talk with the young people who were gathered there to hold signs, wave...

Species8472 was our Guest of Honor this past weekend. He is from Alaska and was in Olney for the morning Rapid Transformation Force FReep and the regularly scheduled 3PM FReep. We had some time between the RTF FReep and the 3PM FReep and we all had a great time talking about Alaska. It was neat looking at his pics of Alaska, especially the one of him shoveling the snow off his ROOF!!! The roofs in Alaska have steeply pitched roofs so snow falls of of them easier. Species8472 gets 600-1000 FEET of snow a year. So I can't complain about...

This past Friday I went back to Walter Reed, hoping to get some more interviews with the Code Pink protesters. But Bruce Wolf, the Code Pink bouncer, is on to my game. Bruce: Sir, please leave... I’m not trying to be fascist or something... SMASH: No, hopefully not! Nobody wants that... Bruce: But it’s making people feel uncomfortable... We’re not here to do interviews... What we’re thinking about, to be really honest, are the soldiers. You know, whether you believe us or not, that’s what we’re here for... when soldiers come out, we like to talk to them, because we...

So much for free speech in the nation’s capital and capitol. On July, 11, 2006 I was arrested for offering a citizen’s voice in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing against the nomination of one of the Bush administration’s architects of torture, William Haynes, former Department of Defense General Counsel (chief civilian lawyer) for a life-time appointment to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Yesterday, September 7, I appeared in the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on charges of “Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct on the United States Capitol Grounds on July 11, 2006.” During that...

'Prisoner swap will defuse tension' By Christian Henderson in Beirut Jackson: Negotiating the release would defuse that second round On August 28, Reverend Jesse Jackson, the US civil rights leader, met Lebanese government and Hezbollah officials as part of his bid to secure the release of three Israeli soldiers seized before the July 12 eruption of hostilities along the Lebanon-Israel border. Jackson, who is meeting political and religious leaders in the Middle East as the head of a 10-member ecumenical delegation, also held talks with Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian president, and Hamas leader Khaled al-Meshaal in Damascus. Jackson is a...

Fall just around the corner and the sun returning to the bi-state/district area, the moonbat spotting patrol was out in full force watching for Commie Cowards littering the streets. With a combined force from Maryland, Virginia, and Alaska, the patrols combed the avenues. The weather allowed for greater forces to be deployed. As the forward patrol passed the usual battleground, the alarm was sounded. Deploy, deploy they have been spotted. The first group arrived on the LZ. Dave Shultz was on one end of our position with his signs for his political run. Vote for Dave because he is running...

On Friday, Tropical Storm Ernesto and I went to Walter Reed. Emily baked some homemade Cinnabon for the troops and the kids made some cards. I also took Anissa and Hannah with me. While there, we met again with SFC Norris Galatas. My main purpose for going was to speak with the Command Sergeant Major of the hospital about the treatment that Norris got after his last surgery. He was treated very rough and it was uncalled for. When we arrived, Janis (his wife) took my daughters to go feed the fish and spend some time away. Norris and I...

Murtha's Code Pink star grows brighter You won't see these photos of Congressman John Murtha in the state or local Pennsylvania newspapers. And you sure won't see these photos of Murtha on his congressional website. Sadly, these photos are amongst the avalanche of disturbing Murtha activities that are never reported to PA district 12 constituents. Stunned PA district 12 constituents are just now seeing for themselves how profoundly Murtha has abandoned their values. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words: The photos on the left show a proud John Murtha accepting awards...

RAPID TRANSFORMATION FORCE REPORT No. 2:Last week's opening line: "What a great week to be in Olney. Hot & humid, but the overcast kept the sun from baking us."What a difference a week makes, and Ernesto! The Rapid Transformation Force (RTF) was activated this Saturday. While seriously out numbered 3 FReepers to 8 moonbats, we were there. Wet and soggy for the second time in 24 hours. In addition to Ernesto, we rained on their parade once again. And once again they huddled before they left. I assume they'll have a different time for next week. That's fine with us....

CRAWFORD, Texas - This one-stoplight town, especially the road winding between pastures leading to President Bush's ranch, turned out to be much quieter than it was last summer. The 700-resident town's streets were clogged as more than 10,000 people began streaming in over the 26-day vigil, which started when Cindy Sheehan demanded to talk to Bush about the war that claimed her oldest son's life in 2004. Weekend rallies last year drew several thousand people, and a few celebrities even showed up. It was a different picture last month when war protesters returned, this time on a 5-acre lot closer...

CJ's web site, soldiersperspective, can be viewed here, but as of Sunday AM, he has not posted an...

CRAWFORD, Texas - With a rally on their campsite Saturday, about 100 war protesters ended their monthlong vigil near the Western White House but planned to move it close to the White House. Many group members are heading next week to Washington, D.C., for a two-week demonstration called "Camp Democracy." "We wanted to try to build momentum and needed something to move the focus back to Washington," said retired Army Col. Ann Wright, who resigned as a U.S. diplomat in 2003 to protest the war with Iraq. Cindy Sheehan, whose oldest son Casey died in Iraq in 2004, started the...

It's all CJ's fault that I can't stand Code Pink. I didn't really even know about the group until he told me. However, I've been mesmerized by their stupidity ever since. Most of you know about the recent "hunger strike" that Code Pink has been suffering through. I say it that way because it's not really a hunger strike. They eat fruits and drink vegetable and fruit juices on this "strike". Maybe their friends Saddam Hussein and the guys at Guantanamo weren't clear when they explained the rules. Supposedly, five Iraqi delegates heard about their hunger strike and invited them...

Quinn sounds the 'Code Pink' Murtha alarm Jim Quinn, of the syndicated radio show "The War Room with Quinn & Rose," is sounding the alarm about Congressman John Murtha's Code Pink connection: [Quinn, on-air Sept. 1, 2006:]" ... in paging through this [BootMurtha.com website] I stumbled upon a story that even surprised me. Murtha took an award from CODE PINK? My god, this is a communist organization! Code Pink. I mean, there he is with his arms around these two women dressed in pink. THESE are the people that Rose ran into in Washington, DC, who stand outside of...

TO FIND PEOPLE WHO HATE AMERICA AS MUCH AS THEY DO, the Fifth Column Left had to go halfway around the world to meet with Iraqi political leaders who call terrorism “honorable national resistance” and say foreign jihadists “are guaranteed Paradise” – and at least one of whom has ties to militia leader Muqtada al-Sadr. By the end of the trip, the American leftists would echo these sentiments. Somehow most of the media – occupied with interminable coverage of Hurricane Katrina and JonBenet Ramsey’s non-killer – neglected to report that earlier this month a contingent of infamous American radicals including...

NEW YORK (Reuters) - An Iraqi architect on Tuesday said he was forced to change his t-shirt before boarding a flight in New York because the shirt had "We will not be silent" written on it in Arabic and English. ADVERTISEMENT Raed Jarrar wrote on his Internet blog (http://raedinthemiddle.blogspot.com) that he was required to change out of the shirt prior to boarding a JetBlue flight from New York's John F. Kennedy Airport to California this month because officials told him people were offended by the shirt. In an interview with New York Public Radio on Tuesday, Jarrar said, "I grew...

What a great week to be in Olney. Hot & humid, but the overcast kept the sun from baking us. And all the honks and waves were for us. This week is the third week we have occupied the moonbats corner. The Rapid Transformation Force was not deployed this Saturday. We didn't have our This Corner Under New Patriotic Management or the Peaceniks Have Cut and Run signs, so we didn't get any obscene cat calls or one finger salutes. We enjoy them so much though, we'll have the signs next week. We don't want the peaceniks getting any more...
