Emergency crews responded to a report of a shark bite in Emerald Bay around 7 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervisor Melanie Flores. The Mexican government is opening a satellite consular office on Catalina Island -- a small resort off the California coast with a history of drug smuggling and human trafficking -- to provide the island's illegal Mexican immigrants with identification cards, The Washington Examiner has learned. Mexico doesn't discriminate; hey issue cards to legals and illegals. In this report, I learned that lovely Catalina Island is now a haven for human trafficking and drug smuggling. American financial institutions gladly take matricular cards and assume the person is legal, knowing they probably are not.
