Carson is an acclaimed neurosurgeon who oversees a large government agency for which he has no particular qualifications and in this way represents the grand theme of the Trump administration. He, like the president, came to power by promising that an outsider would have the "common sense" it takes to cure what ails us. And so, while conservative gadfly Armstrong Williams played host to this party at the Monocle restaurant, it was Carson everyone came to see. "There's never been a time in the history of the world where a society became divided like this and did well," Carson said...

Three Democratic congressmen attended a private dinner hosted by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in 2013, a new report reveals. Reps. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, Andre Carson of Indiana and Gregory Meeks of New York attended the private dinner, along with Louis Farrakhan, a notorious anti-Semite who leads the black supremacist group Nation of Islam. Iran is the number one state sponsor of terrorism, according to the United States government, which has listed the Islamic Republic as a state sponsor of terror since 1984. Rouhani was in New York for a United Nations meeting and held the dinner party just hours...

The most recent cover of Time Magazine — or I should say.., given its parent company's recent decision "reducing ... circulation and frequency" of the formerly iconic publication — calls President Donald Trump's cabinet "The Wrecking Crew" on a mission of "dismantling government as we know it." Separate reports singled out EPA Director Scott Pruitt, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and HUD Secretary Ben Carson for scrutiny. The cover's word selection is obviously out of line, as none of the three is proposing to "dismantle" — meaning to "take (something) apart" (and not put it back together) — the agencies under their charge....

In her latest hurled insult, Rep. Maxine Waters has called Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson "an educated fool." "Look at Ben Carson. My God. My grandmother would call him an educated fool," Waters stated. "Here's a man who has a reputation of being a highly competent surgeon, but when he talks about poor people, he says they're the cause of their poverty. "He doesn't understand why you didn't do what he did and why you didn't make it like he made it. And he doesn't know the difference between slavery and immigration," she went on. At...

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Alabama Republicans have a choice between a Trump-like outsider and a Trump-backed insider Tuesday in a closely watched Senate GOP runoff that has the potential to wreak havoc on the Senate Republicans’ narrow majority. In a fitting conclusion to a sometimes nasty battle, supporters of GOP establishment-backed interim Sen. Luther Strange, R-Ala., are expected to rally on the eve of the election with Vice President Mike Pence. On the other side of the state, backers of insurgent candidate Roy Moore will stump with Trump’s former chief strategist, Steve Bannon, and controversial "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson. Trump...

And here you have a president that lies every day," Waters said. The ranking Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee also said she plans to grill Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson when he comes before her committee in the coming weeks. . . "Look at Ben Carson. My God. My grandmother would call him an educated fool," Waters said.

TV star Steve Harvey is apparently pressing ahead with his commitment to help the Trump administration on its Housing and Urban Development initiatives despite the fierce backlash he received for meeting with then-President-elect Trump in January. In an extensive interview with the Hollywood Reporter published Tuesday, the comedian and Family Feud host revealed that he has been meeting with HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson to discuss building what he called “vision centers” in New York City, to teach STEM subjects and computer programming to children.

On February 29, 2016, New York Times reporters Amy Chozick and Patrick Healy provided an insider analysis of the Clinton team's plan to defeat Donald Trump. Citing interviews with "more than two dozen" Clinton insiders, including several who spoke directly to Bill Clinton, the article reported on a series of emergency meetings Clinton supporters convened to respond to Donald Trump's February 20 victory in South Carolina and his February 23 win in Nevada. The article reported that Bill Clinton and others argued against those inclined to underestimate Trump "that Mr. Trump clearly had a keen sense of the electorate’s mood...

Maxine Waters’s latest rant against Donald Trump and his administration was so unhinged, it amounted to word spittle that could be hear on any street corner in L.A. Appearing before the Los Angeles Community Review Board, Waters launched into Trump, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and HUD Secretary Ben Carson. Complaining there is “uncertainty” because of the Trump administration, Waters said, “Mr. Mnuchin, who is the Treasury Secretary, who is responsible for over 36,000 foreclosures in this area, is now the Secretary of the Treasury,” repeating herself. “Standing next to him just yesterday, or day before yesterday, I’m getting these days...

If there's one person Rep. Maxine Waters shouldn't bring up so as to avoid unfavorable comparisons, it's Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson, who is also one of the nation's most distinguished neurosurgeons. Well, she has. Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) went after Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson at a town hall on Saturday. At the town hall in Gardena, Calif., Waters said that Carson should go back to his former profession of being a surgeon, the Los Angeles Times reports. Waters also told the crowd that the next time Carson went before the...

Over the past few months, the story of the Awan brothers has been largely ignored by mainstream media. However, the brothers Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan are at the center of a criminal investigation by U.S. Capital Hill Police. The Awan brothers were Pakistani IT specialists, whom worked for more than 30 house and senate democrats, as well as Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The substantial scandal has raised questions about who may have been passed data which the Awans had access to, given Pakistan’s history of collaborating with a number of foreign countries who have demonstrated past willingness to influence...
