Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson threw his support behind former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore for U.S. Senate Friday, hours before President Donald Trump campaigns for Moore’s opponent, establishment-backed U.S. Senator Luther Strange.

I was hard on Carson back in the day, but this is a stand-up move. I hope his endorsement helps. The Senate needs Luther Strange like an alcoholic needs a bottle of Thunderbird.

That’s true, and it’s exactly the way to address it.

He’s gotten some bad information. He is dead wrong to back Strange over Moore.

I am in hopes he will flip on it. He should. It would remind me of when he once said we should allow Islamic immigration. The next day he had seen the light.

I hope it happens here. It takes a lot of strength to admit you need to change your mind.

I have always thought that “Strange” was a strange name. The only other publicly prominent person I can think of named “Strange” was Robert Strange McNamara. And he certainly was strange ... and a complete POS.
