The Catholic archbishop of New York posted a video to Twitter from Lviv in western Ukraine. “We didn’t know for sure if we’d be able to get here, but — thanks be to God — we were able to leave Poland yesterday and come here to Ukraine,” said Dolan, who has been touring refugee and aid facilities in neighboring Poland and Slovakia.

Cardinal Donald Wuerl’s name will be removed from North Catholic High School, the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh announced Wednesday morning. In a news release, the diocese said that the board of directors of Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School and the board of Catholic High Schools of the Diocese of Pittsburgh accepted Wuerl’s request to remove his name from the school in Cranberry.
