In an interview with the Catholic Herald last week, the 86-year-old Cardinal Arinze, once considered a top candidate for the papacy, said that when countries lose their young people to migration, they lose the people who can best build their nations future.
So the countries in Europe and America can sometimes help best, not by encouraging the young people to come to Europe as if they looked on Europe as heaven a place where money grows on trees but to help the countries from which they come, he said.
It is best for a person to stay in that persons own land country, town, area and work there, he said, while acknowledging that at times that is not possible. He also said that government leaders of countries with high rates of emigration should examine their consciences to determine why it is that so many people are leaving.

Imagine a hundred guys arriving tomorrow. You evaluate all of them and find that only five have what you’d consider a decent education, some skill-craft, and at least acceptable talent for languages. So the other 95? They ran a fruit cart for their uncle, or picked fruit. Their education-level is basic 5th grade comprehension. And, a lot worse.
Seems silly to add learning a new language on top of all the other issues an Africanwr has to deal with nowadays.
Irelands leadership realized this 50 years ago and asked the US to limit the number they took in (and the US government complied). They were losing their best and their brightest; India and Red China are suffering the same fate. Not that all Indians and Chinese immigrants are geniuses, but they are the ones motivated enough to flee while still being able to offer SOMETHING to another country.
