The family dog of 13 years had to be put down. Her body was shutting down and nose cancer had taken its toll. She wouldn't eat and I had to carry her. I can't say enough good things about the local vets, C-Vets Emergency, and NC State K9 Oncology. They did so much for her and us during her time. RIP to the world's best GSD ever. Terra. Today on the way home on an 85 degree or so day, my 16 Tacoma's air temp sensor kept dropping steadily until it hit -34 outside. The truck runs fine, no errors on the dash, performance seemed the same. In the last few miles, it started registering a little above 0 degrees. I got home no problem and changed the sensor out since I had a spare on hand. I did unhook the battery first. After swapping and powering back up, air temp was a steady 20 something degrees. The house we moved into late last year has a unique kitchen faucet. We like it a lot but there is a problem. Recently it started leaking from the top where the spray hose connects. A plumber from a reputable company came out to work on it. IIRC, the faucet is some oddball type he didn't have the parts for. The plumber and my wife looked all over and under for a model or make. I was off earning crumbs at the time. No dice on and ID. We have tried to contact the former owners who built the place...

I was able to pull this vintage RCA record player and some vinyl. There were a few packs of needles too. The previous owner(s) seemed to take care of it. It needs some maintenance and some fresh grease. I found a lot of technical advice for this model. It was missing a crank handle. There is a fellow out there that makes reproduction handles. I rolled the footage over the weekend and slapped this edit together earlier this morning. When I get a macro lens and some maintenance pulled, I'll do another.

Three times this year I've been hit with a sudden and strong bout of some kind sickness. It's gone like this: Severe chills, extreme drowsiness, weakness to the point being unable to move for about a half a day. Then the chills turn into a higher temp but not feverish, slight nausea, but still so drowsy and weak. Usually by 2 or 3 am I finally throw up and start feeling better. I'm about to the point where buying a lift kit for my 65 Willys CJ5 Jeep is possible. The original springs are rusted and weak. In my research, I found the kind of pricey Skyjacker kit but that is a good name from what I remember. Another one I ran across for my 65 CJ5 is from Rough Country for a couple hundred or so less. ATT was in my neighborhood today promoting U-verse. I haven't had any experience with it and have been on Time Warner for a long time. Is Uverse any better than Time Warner? Time Warner over the past year has been a disappointment in a lot of areas. I'm more interested in data and internet than TV and plan to keep the POTS line. ATT offers a dedicated 24 meg line. TWC is 20ish and a lot of times I don't think it's that much. It's probably shared through the area. I've run speed tests and got anywhere from 15-19.

Over the past couple of weeks, Time Warner high speed here around Columbia has been randomly dropping out due to DNS getting lost. An outage can be a few minutes to pushing half an hour. I've changed DNS to some of the open ones, found a firmware update for the router and applied it just to rule out things at home. I was looking to see if anyone else was experiencing the frustration. If I posted this incorrectly, I'm sure the mods will handle it.
